Nice to Meet You

Who am I? What am I?

It would take you years to figure that out. I've known me all my life and I'm still not sure.

I'm a son, a brother, a father, a friend to some, friendly to most. I'm a husband, although based on recent evaluations, not a very good one. I'm a coach, a boss, a team mate, and a hard worker.

I've always been impressed by Renaissance Men, someone like Leonardo DiVinci, gifted in many areas, not a one-trick-pony. While I aspire to that Renaissance Man status I fall far short. I'd say I'm a Jack-of-All-Trades (master of none). I cook, I tinker, I create. I have a short attention span, I'll be fascinated with something for a while, currently lamp making, then grow bored and move on to something else.

I have to keep reminding myself that I'm a FORMER athlete. I spent many years playing football and dabbling in other sports, basketball, softball, track & field. In my 50s now things don't move like they once did. I keep trying. Gotta keep moving.

You know more about me now than most people. I'm cautious about what I share with people. There's only one person who I can share everything with. I hope she reads this someday and realizes how much I value her friendship.
