Fantastic to be a part of Steemit! Let me introduce myself...

Hello and how are you? My name here is Minderbinder, Milo Minderbinder. Actually, that's just my pen name and an homage to a little book called Catch 22. I highly suggest the book. If you're at all familiar with it you'll know one of the seminal characters is my namesake. I'll probably go into more detail about Minderbinder being apt as this blog progresses - this is my first and a bit of an experiment - so we'll see how it goes. Please bear with me as I get spun up.

In any event, thank you so much for reading my introduction!

I'm ready to get started on steemit for a variety of reasons, not least of which I think this will be a fantastic place to start blogging what I think represents a deep disconnect between digital currencies and the macro picture of the investment landscape at large. I have significant experience in trading/investing/financial and business planning and lately my interest has been piqued as to what is going on in cryptocurrencies.

What I find most interesting is the lack of a mediating voice among those "true believers," many in the traditional financial industry space, and many in government. My aim is to comment on those differences because, as it stands and probably will stand in the coming years, both will impact each other in positive and negative ways. My plan is just to start in a place where I can get my thoughts down. If they're interesting to someone else, so be it, otherwise I'm happy just to have them embedded in a blockchain.

Plus, as an added bonus the steemit community and its bounty of products is already embedded in the crypto industry! We are all early adopters!

For my own purposes and for as much as generating useful content in case you're reading, I'll be posting as the times demand so to speak, largely concentrating on the macro cryptocurrency picture. However, I'll probably end up with posts talking about potential ICOs as well as how projects fair as they move forward and implement (or not) their goals. What I hope is for a coherent picture to form. So, you'll be on this journey with me as I attempt to connect the dots.

I am happy to invite questions, comments, and concerns as I continue along. And any positive feedback is most assuredly welcomed. :) Plus, this is a growing, "Wild West-esque" type of space we find ourselves in crypto. So one day you can open up the box and both cats will be alive, other days just one, and still other days neither. So please by all means I look forward to learning with you as the environment develops.
