Hi all! I'm a software developer and I'm a part of @blocktrades team.
I want to write here about software development for the HIVE blockchain. The Hive Application Framework ( in short HAF ) and HIVEMIND are the best known by me pieces of the HIVE.
I hope I will help the community to better understand the details of the HAF and its crucial part known as HIVE FORK MANAGER.
If You are curious what exactly I work on, You can check my activity on gitlab
From time to time I can also express my thoughts about birdwatching, space explorations or the development of software different from HIVE
Just a quick note to everyone to confirm that @mickiewicz is a key developer for HAF, and in particular for the hive fork manager which is one of the most innovative portions of the design. Most of our devs are a bit shy in the social media space, and I'm always happy to see one join in here, so please welcome him!
:D
I think all devs should come to hive. Not because of posting or social media, simple to show us cool things.
No reason to be shy :)
¡Hola @mickiewicz ! felicitaciones y bienvenido y ojalá sigas publicando post que sirvan de pistas de aterrizaje a los que todavía estamos volando y no tocamos tierra.
When will HAF go live?
I don't have an exact date, as we will release it as soon as it is ready, but we're very close and I don't think it will be long now.
At this point we're just testing and fixing bugs. For the past few days, we've been trying to get reliable benchmarking data, and I've been holding off on my next status report until we have that data.
Thank you for the additional intro information.
Hive is moving onward and upward.
What if...
this wasn't social media and was instead just messaging?
then you'd STILL be Way ahead of STINC...
who's dev could never be bothered here.
HIVE!Regards
I hope with time that more of our core dev team will join in here and shares some details about what they do. The other issue could just be that they think people will find their work boring or hard to understand. Personally, I gave up decades ago trying to discuss my work with non-techy family and friends because of how quickly their eyes began glazing over. Even today, I don't think my mom really understands much about what I do.
I dont tell no one nothin 😏

Hi @mickiewicz! I am really interested in how HAF works and looking forward to learning more about it. What is the best/easy way to get strated with HAF? Are there any tutorials available?
At the moment there is no tutorial available for HAF. The system is now under development and has not been released yet. We are working hard with hived and hive_fork_manager (which are parts of the HAF), and I can only suggest reading hive_fork_manager documentaion, but there is nothing about the whole HAF. It is a good topic for a post, I think :)
Hello :D I'm super looking forward to hivemind based on HAF! I'm deffo going to be running that once it's ready!
Communities I run: Gridcoin (GRC)(PeakD) / Gridcoin (GRC) (hive.blog)| Fish Keepers (PeakD) / Fish Keepers (hive.blog)
Check out my gaming stream on VIMM.TV | Vote for me as a Hive witness! and Hive-engine witness!
Welcome ;)
Looking forward to your posts.
I have an idea for the next post so maybe in the next week ...
Hey ! gave you a follow, I've been following a lot of this development from afar so I'm excited to check out your posts.
Welcome @mickiewicz, glad to see you here.
Hello @mickiewicz, finally, welcome to Hive! :-)
Thank you for all the great work you do out there!
Great to have you here. Your work has been awesome. Scotch or coffee?

Doesn't look like you have
I didn't expect such an effect :) It is surprising for me
Welcome to the gang!
I've been here a while. But, don't let my join date fool you. I'm still a newb!
It's good to have someone here who knows what they're doing!
=]
(What's your favorite programming language? Do you like Python?)
I wish the team the best!
My favourite language is RUST ( I dream to have more time to learn it more ), but in my professional career, I have used mostly C++. I'm not happy when I need to work with Python but if it allows me to faster solve some problems then I use it. Recently I work mostly with Postgresql, whole hive_fork_managers is a set of SQL scripts.
We could have a hived_rust implementation :D
don't tease
:-p
Welcome to the platform O' shy @mickiewicz 😌
So technically u work for Hive Blockchain?
Technically, Yes I work for Hive Blockchain
@mickiewicz ok thanks for confirming
Hey glad you're here! I'm looking forward to HAF :)
Welcome to hive.

Welcome to the hood champ. I wish you good fortune in the wars to come.
Cool. Welcome Mickiewicz!
Welcome :)
Welcome on board. I can't really call you a newbie in this case 😂.
Would be glad to read all you have to offer 😊
Welcome @mickiewcz
That’s GREAT! I’m so glad that you took the time to say, “Hello!”.
HAF and Hive Fork Manager are really important advancements for Hive and current/future developers on the blockchain. Keeping Hive user friendly from code to community; that’s what gives us a real edge! Thank you for all the work that you are doing! 🙌
@wil.metcalfe
Thanks for the invitation, friend, I'll take it into account
Hi!
Cool, glad to meet you!

Welcome and thanks for your dev work. This is what differentiates us from some other social media block chains!
On another note: What a shiny example how fair and balanced our reward system rewards really good content.
How can you complain about someone writing one post introducing themselves and compare it to people who often post and make it their main source of earnings? Is it hurting you to see a new user on trending who's an important part of Hive? Is it hurting the image of trending to not always see the same users aside from a few new ones that get voted in day by day?
Do you think he's here to farm the rewardpool? I mean I know it's decentralization and the wild west of internet and all but damn is it embarrassing seeing people make a big deal out of one random post being overrewarded every now and then and you voting up such comments to the top is even more cringe.
Greatings from the Philippines, Mabuhay ka, welcome to Hive!
♥️🇵🇭♥️
Greetings from the Poland !
Welcome! I'm just here for the birds :-)
WELCOME here Boss!
Welcome programmer @mickiewicz !
Welcome @mickiewicz
It’s great to have you here.
I look forward to hearing more about your work as it’s released.
Nice to have you here
Hi there! I guess nothing here is new to you. 😂 Nice company bonus🤣
Hello @mickiewicz! This is @traciyork from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! Thank you as well @blocktrades, for confirming this is really him - it's wicked awesome to see another dev posting on chain!
And now for the rest of our usual Welcome message...
It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member -
Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community.
Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out - Hive Communities. I'm guessing you might like Feathered Friends (it's one of my personal faves) and STEMGeeks to start off with.
Also, as Hive can sometimes be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide should be helpful to you, as it is a growing repository of useful and easy to understand posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.
Please be aware that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog, so it is important not to include content that you don't own without sources (and it shouldn't exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check this post - Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers.
Since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.
For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your expanded intro post. Also, please mention (also known as tagging) @traciyork & @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Lastly, feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!
Looking forward to reading your stuff
Hello ! Welcome here on hive and thank you for all the efforts you put into Hive as one of the software developer. 😊
Glad to see one of the unknown soldiers behind Hive and I'm so excited to check your coming posts and learn more about your work.
Best regards
Mickiewicz!
:) no wreszcie!
welcome 💜
Nie ma jeszcze Slowackiego i Norwida ;)
haha 😄
dajmy im szansę, może jeszcze dotrą.
Twój przykład niesie nadzieję 🦋
Welcome @mickiewicz you have the endorsement and recognition of @blocktrades and that is something very few can boast of.
I see that we have some points in common like bird watching (I even collect them through postage stamps) and I am also involved for many years in testing (I don't have as much capacity to develop them) open source software applications.
I test Linux distributions like Debian, Ubuntu and its derivatives, OpenSUSE, LinuxMint and others.
Greetings.
I like to take binoculars and go out for bird watching :) I live in the part of Poland when there are more than 200 birds species, and some of them are rare.
In Argentina we have a large number of birds and there are laws to protect them.
I also lived many years in Italy (more than 20 years since I have descendants from that country and have dual citizenship.
I would have liked to know Poland. I was about to go a couple of times but it didn't happen.
Greetings
Welcome to Hive @mickiewicz this is a great family, I hope you find yourself comfortable here!!!!
