A Quick Introduction Post

Hi all, a new seemit user here!

I stumbled upon steemit while researching cryptocurrencies in December 2017, when watching a video by @quickfingersluc. A blockchain-based social content creation site seemed like a great idea, so I gave it a go.

Now for something about myself: I'm studying for a Master's degree in Philosophy at University of Oulu, Finland. My major subject is mathematics and I have multiclassed into Physics, Chemistry, Education and Philosophy to qualify as a middle/high school teacher. Out of these subjects Philosophy is by far my favourite, and I look forward to teaching it. Book suggestion: "What is This Thing Called Science?" by Alan Chalmers. This amazing textbook explains the basics of philosophy of science in layman's terms, dispelling most myths and misconceptions university students tend to have about science and its capabilities.

When not studying or teaching, I spend my time with gaming (mostly tabletop roleplaying games, I oversee the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild organized play campaign in Finland) and volunteer work at lanparties and my church. From late 2017 onwards I've also been fascinated by blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies like, let's face it, most of us here. I plan to write cryptocurrency analyses and/or guides, but I could maybe be persuaded to write something on tabletop roleplaying games as well.

Sold Dragonchain at 1.4$ and Kucoin Shares at 1.1$. Gotta learn to hodl!

Edit: On reddit my handle is /u/agapefin and on Discord Agape#0146
