The kind of post that scares me to write

I am a sweet lullaby of words, sent to flow down into your very soul, I am a meadow of peace and joy and I am trying very hard not to laugh at my attempt at being pretentious. In case it isn’t obvious, I’m one of those annoying people whose particular set of skills revolves around thinking that I'm the funniest thing since Tom and Jerry.

I'm Makinde Funmilayo, a Nigerian with a talent for not being as funny as I like to think I am. I'm currently working as a freelance writer, and working on actually finishing a book without procrastinating.
On a more serious note, I find it hard to be serious, since my writing is mostly about the things I’m too scared to say out loud and it's easier to play it off with a smile. I’m a girl with a law degree she hopes not to have to use who enjoys writing more than she enjoys sitting around and making an art out of procrastinating, and I know that doesn't seem like a glowing recommendation but this picture says it all.
