RE: aaronnaps is on steemit! - Introduce yourself

Hi Aaron! After falling in love with "Doc Martin," my wife and I definitely have St. Ives and the rest of Cornwall on our bucket list. Welcome! It is so nice to have you with us here. Please let me know if you have any questions by posting them here, and I will help if I can. Good luck!

Hi @mepatriot thanks for the warm welcome, Doc martin was a brilliant show, it brought a lot of attention to Cornwall.

St. Ives is beautiful, I would definitely recommend it for a holiday. I can see St. Ives from where I live, Where are you from?

In fact the photo I posted shows St. Ives in the background. If you look closely you can see lights on the coastal headland that is St. Ives

Oh, we live almost directly across the "pond" from you in northern Maine.

ah I see, not exactly easy to have a cheeky weekend away then.

No, but we come to north England a lot because our daughter married a Welshman and lives near Chester, so one of these days, we'll get down there. Gotta see the Fawlty Towers location too, on the way in to your area...lol.. Torquee, is it?

Not quite Torquay, I'm much closer to St. Ives than that. Torquay is about 2.5hrs drive from me. In comparison I'm a stones throw away from St. Ives! loc.PNG

Oh, I know, that's why I said "on the way in..."

Say, have you ever been out to the Isles of Scilly? Those are also definitely on the bucket list. Love the legends of Atlantis surrouding those....

ah I see! Personally I haven't visited the Isles of Scilly but my Dad kayaked around it a few years ago and the photos he took looked incredible.

It's definitely on my list of things to do! considering it's so close you would have thought I would have by now lol
