Meet The Memenator

Hey everyone, I recently found out about this Steemit through a great app called Dmania. Don't know where but somewhere online I stumbled upon a meme that had $ in the bottom of the post which got me interested because I was stunned to see that someone actually made money for making a meme. Something that I really enjoy doing but never got any money for it.

I did some research and found out about Steemit and the amazing possibilities it has to offer to monetize the content we usually put up for free and in the process make money for Fb, insta or any other greedy social media website that takes all the profits for themselves.

Thats the main driving force that made me join Steemit. The ability to monetize something that we would usually put online for free. To me this is just revoluzionizing and I want to be a part of the revolution.

What can you expect from @memenator?

Just by seeing my name you can figure out but if you can't, know that the only thing you will see on this blog are funny memes, gifs and basically anything funny. So if you like making or viewing memes, chuckling around your house and laughing out loud, be sure to throw a follow and leave a nice comment. I would like to meed and talk to every single one of you and expand and grow my Steemit army.

What are memes and why are they important?

The word, Meme, comes from the Greek word, mimeme, which means, “imitated thing.” I like this definition:

an idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture.

In the early 1900s Harry Whittier Frees, an American photographer, created the first concept of a meme when he dressed up his cats and placed a cute saying underneath them – like this one then used for greeting cards:

Today memesare changing and shaping the society as we know it. They are an important part of our lives as they serve as a vent from this stress-filled world that is driving us further into depression as each day passes. With more problems emerging in our lives every day we need a way to brighten our days up and IMO memes are the perfect way to do it. That's why I'll do my best to try and achieve just that.

Why memes are so great:

  • They make people laugh and can cure depression.
  • Creative ways to recycle culture.
  • Stress reliever.
  • They are made of relatable and funny content.
  • Anyone can make one of their own.

If you want to make your own meme but don't have any skills in Photoshop, Illustrator or any other program

but would still want to create memes, feaer not because there is a solution. One of the best and easiest way to make memes is MemeGenerator

How to create a meme

MemeGenerator is really straight forward and simple to use. First you will need to select a funny image that you want to caption. The website offers a set of premade funny images that you can chose from but if you don't like any of them you can upload your own.

After chosing an image, type your desired text in the blank fields and select a language. If you are satisfied with how it looks click generate.

And Viola! You created a meme!

My goals for Steemit

  • I will try to post funny memes daily to brighten up your day.
  • I will use most of the profits from my posts to fund a PR campaign on FB to bring more people in Steemit. I want to be a true influencer of this platform who helps it grow and gain momentum. And what better way to do it than through humor?
  • When I gain some momentum and earn some STEEM/SBD I'll start organizing meme challenges outside of Steemit and challenge people to make memes and reward them in STEEM/SBD to bring them on Steemit and Dmania
  • Work on becommning a Steem ambassador, bringing thousands of new people to the platform

Some people dislike memes in Steemit but I don't see the problem if they can get more people involved with Steem and Steemit through Dmania. If you can't beat the enemy, join him; memes are short but potentially a powerful tool. And I can always appreciate a smart and thoughtful meme!

Welcome @memenator!

Didn't know some steemians are against memes. Don't know why they would be. 100% agreed, memes can and dmania can surely greatly contribute to Steemits growth by bringing in tons of new users. Hope you will enjoy mine :)

Didn't know some steemians are against memes.

At least that's a sentiment I've come across couple of times. But I'm sure most people are fine it.

Hi, do you want to have a chance at making thousands of dollars in Ethereum while playing a game. Read my post to find out more

https://steemit.com/money/@stevekelly/new-ethereum-game-aethia-big-opportunity-to-make-thousands-of-dollars-in-ethereum

where am I supposed to get the verification code? It didn't send it to my mail or anywhere

It takes a few minutes. Just wait a little bit

kk, thanks for letting me know. Btw how many eggs per referral do you get? Also is it already usable or still in beta? Btw what hatches from the eggs and how long does it take?

It is going live the 18 of this month. You get only 1 Free egg, I do not know the details of how the actual gameplay will be but considering early adopters of cryptokittens made fortunes it is worth a shot

says that the alpha eggs are out of stock :( guess I can only depend on the referrals now

Welcome and good luck!
