Self Introduction

Hi there my name is Marizze , I am in my early thirties. Now married for almost two years. As of the moment I am still living with my parents and sibling. I earn a living as a Nurse here in the Philippines.I hail from south area of Cebu. I spent most of my life here.

At fist I was hesitant to start Hive blogging because I am not good in English but I was inspired and motivated by @gohenry. I decided to do blogging during my rest days from work as my additional hobby. I am not that articulate and good with everything but I am giving a shots and I would love to share my experiences as a frontliner. I hope I will be able to inspired and have engagement on this platform. I’ve always been fascinated by blogging and basically just excited to explore and learn a little more. Here I am looking for greater opportunities to create blogging on my own.

In my free time I love to write and chatting with friends, listening music and playing with my pets. Surfing the internet.

Personality and Traits

I am calm, courteous, hard- working, responsible person and accept constructive criticism.

I was 16 years old when I graduated High School. As a teenager I had tons of dreams and aspirations , one of them was to be rich , eat delish foods, touring around the world and many more . It’s free to day dream and have lots of ambitions and wants, right? So I was thinking to enroll and take up Nursing because some of my friends and relatives told me that I can apply abroad and earn dollars. So right before my graduation I told my parents that I will enroll Nursing. I remembered my Father was against my decision because he told me it was expensive course and the only source of income of my Family was Farming.

Eager and ambitious teenage girl , I applied for scholarship in one of the state universities in our city, but I was not accepted. I was devastated and heartbroken. My very first heartbreak. I felt pity of my self and starting to doubt my capabilities. I start questioning my self , really thought it’s easy for me to get to my first choice of University. That event of my life started me to realize that you can’t always get what you want and sometimes your plan does not go according to it. So I applied to another University which offered Nursing, and luckily I was accepted. And oh by the way College Universities are a 3 hour drive from our province. Everything started with my dreams.

Fast forward to the very first day of school, I remembered I was so anxious because I am not familiar with the place and I don’t have any friends and by the way I rented a small boarding house across from the school. I am shy type, province girl that is not used to living in a busy, noisy , overcrowded city. I started missing my life in the province and also my family . I miss the peaceful life and fresh air there.

I am a graduate of BSN way back 2010 in one of the reputable schools in Cebu City. During my year a lot of students wanted to earn a degree in Nursing. I remembered during high school , me and my best friend agreed to take up Nursing. Luckily my parents are very supportive with the course I wanted. Like a normal teenage, it was my dream to earn more money and travel the worId. I was encouraged by my Aunt who was based in California to choose this course. In that time Nursing was booming and in-demand.

Nursing was considered before as the ticket for “Greener Pasture” . Little did I know it was difficult for me to land for a good nursing job. Most of the hospitals were no vacancy for nursing job that time. They only accept volunteer and traineeship, which promise you to be absorbed if you have good performance during three months exposure.I am looking for a career not an internship.A few months after,I applied to take for licensure exam for Nurses. Luckily I made it with just one take and became a Registered Nurse. I was very happy and proud of myself I made it.But it was when I realized that it’s tough to get job if you’re not experienced with the job. But how can you have experience if your a fresh graduate.

I’m a nurse in a private hospital in our small province. It’s not easy to be a nurse. Sometimes you work 12 hours in a day with just small bucks of compensation. Health workers are not prioritize here in my country. Everyday I was able to meet different people with different attitudes.
