Welcome to steemit! That's a lot poured into one introduce yourself post :) I mean that in a good way too. You seem to be in a bit of a slump at the moment; you have a lot of great ideas but seem to be lacking the drive right now to do it? I'm assuming that has to do with your depression as well, and for that I am sorry. You are right about being so solitary; it becomes a bad habit and leaves you way too much time to think and focus on what's not going so great. I hope I'm not coming across as preachy, because that's not my intention at all. One of my sons suffers from anxiety and depression, so I guess I just recognize some of the signs.
This is a pretty tough platform to break into, and truthfully, it takes a lot of work and a lot of "socializing" which might be the best thing for you too. There are so many really good people to connect with here; I've been on the receiving end of a lot of genuine compassion and it started with me getting "out there" and commenting like crazy. I did start here and think that if I wrote some posts, that people would come flocking, but it doesn't really work that way.
There are a couple of great groups here that I'd recommend you joining to make this an enjoyable experience for you. One is @newbieresteemday and the other is @greetersguild. Both groups welcome, mentor and encourage new folks here. They have Discord channels set up that you can join and meet and chat to people there as well. It's a great way to begin developing relationships on here.
If you're interested, here's the link to join @greetersguild and here's the one for @newbieresteemday. In fact, I'm going to return as newbieresteemday to resteem your post to try and give you a little extra boost and some exposure.
So, get off of WOW and get on steemit instead haha
EDIT: oops I forgot to tell you that it was @freedomshift who got me over here. He featured you in our Pay it Forward Curation Contest; you should consider joining us :)
