Hi, I'm luigi1111 from the Monero Project.

Hello, steemit.com!

My name is luigi1111 (not really). If I remember correctly, I was trying to sign up for some website and kept getting "this username is already taken". So, I kept adding 1's until it was accepted. The name does come from the Mario games, where I liked Luigi as the underdog (plus the sick backflips in Super Mario 64).

By day, I'm a full-time Network/Systems Administrator. Boring, I know. I'm from the Midwest. It's very flat here with lots and lots of corn, but no awesome scenery compared to what fluffypony posted of Plettenberg Bay. :(

Still, I like to drive my death machine around (always below the speed limit of course):

I made some physical 1 oz. gold coins for Monero, loaded with 1,000 XMR each. They look like this:

I have a compulsive desire to correct English grammar (I unfortunately notice most mistakes while just casually reading). Sometimes I keep it subdued, sometimes not:

When I inevitably make a grammatical mistake myself, I am most sheepish.

I have no idea where Steemit will be in 1 month, much less 1 year (5 years?), but I'll be here for the ride, observing and maybe even posting. Its growth so far has been most impressive!
