About Me

My name is Benjamin Nnaoma Vincent and i'm from Abia state and currently reside in Lagos Nigeria.
I'm the 6th child in a family of 8.
I'm a strong believer of determination, and i stop at nothing to achieve anything i want- a quality that has helped me over the years and made me a better person. I may not be where i want to be currently but i'm still happy where i am, and i work hard to get to my next level. I believe in life you must endevour to be happy where you are while on your way to where you're going.
My story is that of a young man who faces life head-on despite the challenges that life brings your way.

Growing Up

Growing up, i had to learn to fend for myself from a young age. I learnt knitting from my mom who i love so much, and who is one of my biggest mentors.

Mom

A woman of rare strength who trained 6 of her children almost single-handedly, and thereafter, she went on to become a graduate, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and International Relations from Abia State University. A feat she achieved after having 8 children and at over 40 years of age.
The skills i learnt from mom would later help me to secure contracts from secondary schools around my town to produce cardigans for their students, and this way i was able raised the needed cash to pursue my admission into the university.
Consequently, i have a B.sc(ed) in Physics from University Of Portharcourt, and currently self employed.

MY Likes And Dislikes

I like to stay positive and like to hangout with like minded people.
I like traveling and seeing new places and things.
I like sports: swimming and football
I like good music; especially jazz; rock and blues.
I dislike disappointment and greed.
I hate mosquitoes, and i don't like hot sun.

Challenges

Everyone (big and small) have their fair share of challenges of life and i am not an exception. One of the biggest challenges i've had in the recent past is losing my pregnant wife who died due to excessive bleeding just after giving birth to my beautiful daughter; she died just 2 weeks after our marriage introduction.

It felt like the end of the world to me because i never saw it coming, but some things happen that you don't have control of right?

Perhaps you may think i'm writing this to arouse your pity or sympathy, that is by no means the truth, but rather it's a challenge for you to see beyond your challenges and bring a vision that will be of benefit to others that are having the same challenge.
Although she is dead, but her death has giving birth to a vision in my heart and this vision is to establish a foundation in her name that caters for pregnant women, see to their well being before and during delivery, and also reduce deaths of childbirth causes.

My Purpose For Being Here

I hope to bring value to this community by expressing myself without limits; posting contents that covers on different cultures, both within the African continent and beyond. I also love photography; so you can also expect that from my blogs. Although i'm not a professional photographer, i've been told severally that i have a talent in photography, but i'll leave that for you to validate.
