I first heard of Steemit.com on January 13, 2018 from an old-timer IRC friend, @davidngtv. With only 6% battery level left, I quickly took a screenshot for my reference later. The topic came up as part of survival ideas during the current challenging economy situation. Weeks later, I finally signed up. So here I am, days after I got my approval with my debut introduce-yourself post!
My name is Mel, short for Melinda. I once enjoy blogging, but somehow I got burnt out to the point of letting my domain/hosting expired as of last year. It would've been its 10th year this January if only I'd kept it on. I set my goal on writing more this year, so Steemit.com is indeed a perfect platform to kick off the plan!
Fitness and martial arts especially Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) are another interest of mine. I just started coaching again; strength and conditioning (not BJJ!) after a long break to recover from a knee surgery. The process is not fun and frustrating, but it also teaches me to appreciate all the little things that I used to take for granted. From fat to fit to fat again, I am now getting back on track to achieve my fitness goals again. If you have issues with this, trust me, I know what you are going through.
