Hi SteemIt! I'm an ordinary student from Indonesia!

Hello everyone! My account has been approved a while ago and I finally have the time to post on Steem!

Now, let's start with the basic stuffs, my name is Kevin and I'm from Indonesia. I'm currently a Compsci undergraduate and a polyglot (Indonesian, English, Chinese, and my local chinese dialect, hokkian). I discovered SteemIt because of crypto, this seems like a great site to share thoughts and earn some cash.

I don't really have anything interesting to tell, I'm just a regular college guy. Maybe I'll tell you how I discovered crypto.

Last year, my teacher tell me about something called bitcoin, explain why it would be a worthwhile investment and why it could be the next big thing. I was tempted to invest in it, but again, as a student, I'm broke af, I don't really have any spare money to invest in cryptocurrencies, so I passed the opportunity. Oh yea, and he recommend me to invest on Ripple(XRP) and LiteCoin (LTC), if you look at their price now, you can see how much I regret not putting some money on it.

There's no point dwelling in the past, a few months later, I discovered Stellar Lumens (XLM), read the whitepaper, and for some reason, my gut tells me to invest into it and I ended up borrowing some money from my friends, with 0% interest, which is nice. And I'm holding it 'till this day. My investment is not much by any means, a tiny one in fact. Within a month, I get a pretty good return of interest. With crypto, it really opens up my eye. I'm not from a rich family and I'm working hard to achieve the future I want. I hope by the end of the year, I can afford to buy a new motorbike for my parents, as it is really old, a computer for my little brother and are able to pay my little brother's college (That's a little bit too much to ask, but hope is not a bad thing).
