Hey Steemians!
Greetings from Tokyo, Japan 🗼
After a long, unsuccessful journey searching for the right blogging platform that ACTUALLY gives some exposure and monetizes my hard-written posts, (for all those who once messed around with Wordpress and Google AdSense, I totally get it.) I have found my way to Steemit. It is my greatest pleasure to join you all.
I am a young professional in his late 20s, working at an IT firm in Japan for completely non-IT related affairs. So I plan to mostly write about non-IT things I am usually more interested in: Affordable travel tips, authentic food and lodgings, history, music, politics and social movements in East Asia—the ‘real’ stuff.
As you can see, I intend to write about a broad range of topics, but in the context of my actual life events and discoveries. I believe that would come as more relevant and interesting. I am hoping to interact with intelligent and diverse readership—instead of just ‘like-minded’ people—who not only gives the kudos points but broadens my perspectives via meaningful discussions.
Additionally, I would like to contribute to building distinctively native Asian voice amid dominantly English-speaking authors on this platform. But feel free to read my soon-to-come Hangul posts if you are versed in the Korean language.
Was that too heavy? Well then, here are a few bullet points for your takeaway!
- Not your average expat-living-in-Japan-talking-about-anime & ninja.
- Not another vegan blogger wielding a DLSR camera, eyeing for sponsorship deals by reviewing cafes (although a modest number of photos and reviews will follow, and I love meat)
- Not a healthy lifestylist, travel guru, or a tech visionary bound to save the world from capitalism—Chillax, you are not Elon Musk
- Genuineness, curiosity, and openness is what I am looking for, both from within myself and from Steemit.
That’s about it. Let’s get this started!
I'm new here as well. Perhaps we can learn this thing together. Good luck!
Hi! Thank you for your kind words, and I am looking forward to reading about your trip to Sri Lanka!
Tokyo's a pretty cool place. Looking forward to your future posts. Especially food. The 'real' stuff ya know. ^ ^
