INTRODUCE MYSELF

Motto in life? "Never falter, you're a fighter!"

As an aspiring novelist, I pondered on how I am going to be able to somehow improve my writing skills. When my granny groovy (@jurich60) told me about Hive, I decided that, not only could this be my training ground, but it could also be a prefect chance for me to interact socially and share my knowledge and opinion to other people. Especially to the things I'm very interested in such as travelling, photography, crochet and poetry.

Capturing the photos of wonderful landscapes is more like a habit of mine but it also reminds me how beautiful this world really is and that we should not take it for granted. Besides that, I also make various crochet tops during my free time. Nothing makes me more proud besides the fact that I am able to achieve something with my own bare hands.

By the way, I'm Avril Jzaniah Tampus, 17 years of age and I am currently on my last year of Junior Highschool here in the Philippines. My motto actually says a lot about myself. I really think that having a good mindset in life really makes a difference. Especially now that most people my age are prone to depression which is honestly very alarming. For someone like me who never lets something pull me down, It's really alarming to think that there are teens out there who drown themselves in misery instead of enjoying their youthful days which they only go through once in a lifetime. We all just have to accept what life throws at us and make it all worth the while.

I'm really looking forward to working with the people here and sharing my posts in Hive.

I will end this post with a quote by Helen Keller....

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done wit hout hope and confidence.”

Thankful for @jurich and @godlovermel25 for guiding me how to post.

Welcome to Hive @jzaniah0421! I am thrilled to see that @jurich60 is your grandmother! She has been an active and wonderful member of the needlework community for awhile now. I am sure you have learned your skills from her, your crochet work is beautiful. It is always rewarding when we can enjoy the work from our own hands. I really like your motto.

I look forward to seeing more of your work. Us needleworkers love hanging out to share our work, patterns, tips, shortcuts and to encourage one another. On Monday's we use the #needleworkmonday tag and on all other days the #needlework tag. We ask that you post all things needlework directly from the NeedleWorkMonday Community. If your post follows our guidelines found here in our FAQs it will be reblogged to the @needleworkmonday page and also have a chance to be featured in our weekly showcase.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We are glad to have you here :)

Welcome to the Hive community @jzaniah0421!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain and Peaklock,
  3. The owner password is only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and
be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own
    .
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. Do Not open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.

If you find yourself overwhelmed and need some guidance, or if you have any questions, there are informed Hivians available who can help you; you can click to go to The Terminal in Discord here:

Hello @jzaniah0421 So glad you chose Hive for your writing experience. I see you have varied interests that you'd like to share on Hive. That's great. It may seem daunting at first with so many activities and so much to learn. Take your time. Nothing will happen overnight.

The key I feel to being successful on any social platform, especially on Hive is to write original, quality content and engage and connect with other authors with quality comments on their articles. They in turn may engage with you.

Did you know that when you publish your posts on hive.blog, you are allowed 8 tags; but when you publish your posts on Peakd, you are allowed 10 tags. The more tags, the more exposure for your posts. For example, if you write about food, an appropriate tag may be: #foodiesbeehive #food #diy #build-it.

There is a Community for Needlework. Also, there's a community for photography.

Find several Communities that fit with your writing. No matter what type of writing, there is a Community on Hive to accommodate it. Just browse the COMMUNITIES TAB above.

Welcome to Hive. So nice to meet you. Hope to engage with you again soon. Take care and stay safe.
