Hello Steemit,
This past summer marked the decade anniversary of my car accident where I experience a traumatic brain injury. I nearly lost my life in a flash of a light. I had to be induced in a medicated coma. Due to my head impacting a tree at high speeds, I had to be subjected to multiple head surgeries. In conclusion to this, I had to learn how to eat, sleep, walk, talk and live again. These obstacles were more than difficult to accomplish and persevere. I am still in awe that I got through this hurdle today.
I live in a world, surrounded by doubt. But my optimism and pride help me continue to keep one foot in front of the other! At the same time, I have the light of support and guidance from my very few friends and family.
I tend to enjoy the little things in life. At the same time, I am a big family person!
Without family, I wouldn't be anywhere right now. My interests include art, due to the reasoning of me trying to find ways to express myself. Music, poetry, and photography help me paint my picture (maybe I'll get into painting someday too.) I am also a very adventurous person.
This past summer, despite the reminder of the accident, I've been able to travel a little bit. This helps me keep my head clear from negativity and widens my views of what the world has to offer. I find myself to be a very deep thinker. Due to this, my love for movies reflects my nostalgia of good times and past experiences.
I also like to stay active. for as fast as my mind races, I reflect this in any kind of physical sport. Whether that is basketball, skateboarding, or throwing the football around. Anything to keep my mind off everyday struggles.
I hope to share my life journeys and experiences. Storytelling is definitely a strong attribute of mine. I look forward to sharing with all of you! Any words of wisdom, encouragement, and sharing of stories are very significant to me!
I find myself to be a very good listener/sharer as well. Thank you again for reading my posts and accepting me in your community! I am excited to see what the future brings me!

There are a ton of other webpages to help you with Steemit. Here are some of the best for beginners:
https://steemd.com/ (This site is used to keep track of your voting power and other stats. You do not want to run out of voting power, and you only get so much per day. I keep my voting power around 80% for example.)
https://steem.makerwannabe.com/ (This site will tell you who follows you, who unfollows you, and who mutes you. It is great for meeting new people too. I regularly check it to see who has followed me to see if I should follow them back.)
https://steemit.chat/ (This site is the official chat webpage for Steemit. There are Discord channels too, but I usually stick to the official site. Come in to network and meet new friends. You can directly message people there too, so it makes it easier to communicate with your closest friends.)
Oh yeah, there are a lot of bots on here. If you see a cookie cutter reply, especially to your intro post, it is almost certainly a bot. Check the account's reputation. If it is low, I would recommend just ignoring them. Everything is public on Steemit, so you can go look at an account's comments and replies. Are they all the same? It's a bot.
