My name is John, and this my story about how I ended up here on Steemit.

So…

Would you take your time to read my story? Figure out why I am here and what I want to share with you?

STEEM?!? Never heard about it…

I will provide the full story of how I got into crypto and currencies in a later post so I can get to the point while I stile got my chance to do an introduction post, without loosing readers/audience.

Here is how I was guided…

Back earlier in December… After understanding bitcoin, the blockchain, along with information about that there exist a whole lot of other currencies with different blockchain technologies, I felt kind of stuck. That’s when I took it to www.youtube.com. I got to watch a few youtuber`s, where my main goal was actually to just learn about “Mining”, but I got distracted by their other content which was about other currencies and their blockchains. In the end I bumped into this “youtuber” @jerrybanfield and this one video that completely change my mindset and view on the crypto world.

Link too @jerrybanfield video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plDXLvjyq88

He told me I was distracted from the real opportunities that investing and trading was doing to me. And you know what… He actually had a good point. So I took this to consideration and did my research on my opportunities. As he also mentioned STEEM in the same video, I diffidently had to check it out. And now when I understand STEEM, it blockchain and how it works, I was very positive and saw potential in the currency and the Blockchain-based-social media.

STEEM and Steemit – My thoughts

The main idea, if I understand right, is that “Authors” with good content, writing and postings are getting rewarded for their good work that it based on the influence from the “Curators” that see their potential and that also will get rewarded for their level of curation.

I think this is a great idea! That both content giver, and audience, get rewarded to take an active role in the community (on the Steemit platform). This gives both power too the author and the audience/readers of the posts. A really good way to build a solid and strong platform in my opinion.

The only drawback from my thoughts around Steemit is that power and money still kind of have a big influence. As I researched, STEEM Power is what determine the level of reward the author gets for their work. In that I mean, you still rely on people/users with power, that could be people who buy STEEM and invests it in STEEM power, in order to get rewarded for your work. That is why I think it could be difficult as an author, as they might not get rewarded for their good work and content.

But I still believe… That if you give/share knowledge and info with others, they will eventually reward you back. People appreciate that you can provide good content, and that is what you should do.

My social media(s)

In the future I also look forward to provide content over both Youtube and Dtube as I believe many people appreciate visual content as well.

So how is life going?

I have for a long time practiced the martial art of Taekwondo WT Sparring, and I am now 21 years old and fighting for the norwegian National team traveling around the world, fighting in both open competition and senior championships and grand-prix`s. In the same way I set goal for crypto research in hopes to achieve profit and knowledge, I set goals in my sport. The Main goal is to one day fight in the Olympics, and get myself an Olympic medal (of course I want the gold medal ;P). But as any process in life it ain`t going to be easy.

As sport is my main focus ieveryday (call it a job), I also study during parts of my spare time. I have finished a one-year-study in music production, and I am now doing business economics. After I finish my two-year-education in business economics I am looking forward to do a bachelor degree in music production.

What to expect

Do you have any expectations??

My Idea for my Steemit account is to provide you with updates around my cryptocurrency-projects wich I have decided that you SHOULD be a part off! I will share my experiences and discoveries in the world of crypto. I also want to share parts of my life and experiences as I believe will influence me as an author and content provider.

As you probably understand, I am also very new to the crypto world, as I only started to study it quiet recently. So you guys commenting and helping me learn and understand by correcting my flaws and mistakes means a lot! I believe, as I now am a great believer in STEEM and Steemit, that my journey here on Steemit is going to be educational, exciting and fun.

I am so interested too learn and understand the crypto world, that means that news and topics will be discussed. And what better social-media-platform is it to discuss this other than on Steemit??

With all that being said… Looking forward to be active within this great community!

Love,
John
