RE: New blogger on Steemit, New Lease on Life

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Hello friendly Racheal, I'm Joey, and I'm reading about your life. Where is NEPA? My parents divorced. I'm 32 and have experienced pain in relationships and in life. I'm in Seattle at my mothers house but was a freelance English Teacher in Vietnam for 5 years & a camp counselor for 5 years before that. I've been around and stuff.

Love cats. Love making videos. Love writing. Children books are magical for sure. The cat is in a hat with a bat and a rat. Cats are funny. Rats are funny, too. I've yet to publish books, myself. I've been busy and distracted in life with priorities, work, people, and everything. It can be tough.

I've experienced all kinds of emotions, depression, pain, and life can be a roller coaster. I've been focusing on priorities and perspectives and fundamentals more and more as I get older. I try my best to do what I can each day for others with all I have and that helps in so many ways. Steemit and Bitcoin and Bittorrent and email helps. Technology help. The online world helps. The offline community is even more important in some ways. Yeah, it is good to have a small tiny circle of family, offline, like you said, Racheal. Thanks for coming out and everything. I'm Joey and some call me Oatmeal because I eat oatmeal. I'm from Oregon, have lived in New York, West Virginia, California, Vietnam, Hawaii, and now I'm near Seattle. Independence is a hard thing to go after. I've been my own boss as a teacher in Vietnam. It can be tough. It takes a lot of work, but it is totally worth it and everything. It takes a lot of time to build careers, money, savings, and especially relationships. Take care.

Joey, NEPA is what a small pocket of North Eastern Pennsylvanians call our home. (I thought all areas did this with their cardinal directions & state name until I was an adult!) thanks for your kind words- I’m trying to go into this next phase of my life with an open mind. PS I eat my oatmeal with cinnamon & honey :)

Yummy oatmeal. I've been to PA or through it. PA seems pretty flat. But nice place. I was also at the Hershey Chocolate Factory.
