I'm newer than you but I can give you a few constructive tips already:

• Upload a profile picture. People like to know that they are interacting with a real person. Helps create that sense of connection.
• Spellcheck your posts and use proper grammar. When people see no capitalization, no punctuation, words spelled wrong and sentences that don't flow well, they automatically assume that you don't really care.
• Interact with the community here by upvoting and commenting on other people's content.
• Share your posts on other sites outside of Steemit, like Twitter, Facebook, etc....
