It’s now obvious that it was a misguided move. I need to re-write it soon. I’m in the process of liberating myself from the expectations of others. Ahe’ey is a major re-write and restructuring of a novel that has evolved over the years. I’m a product of Jane Austen as much as I’m a product of Marvel, Tolkien or Florbela Espanca. I’m currently reading Purity by Jonathan Franzen and loving it. I’m unashamed in my devotion for geekiness, romance, heroes, villains, science and magic. I fail to understand why people need to choose a lane and stick with it. Shattering stereotypes and colouring outside the lines is an important topic for me.
