From Russia with Love

Hello, Steemians!

Finally my verification has been approved and here I am wiriting this introduction.

I am Denis, a simple Russian guy in his mid-thirties. I live in a small town Zelenograd near Moscow. It's quite a peaceful and relaxed place in comparison to busy Moscow with its crowds and hellish traffic jams.

Well, I'm a writer. My topics are high-tech stuff, personal efficiency, self-development and of course cryptocurerncy. Almost six years ago I quite my office job and got down to a pure freelance life with all its pleasure and hardship. And you know, I've never had any regret about that decision. Some day I'll write about my way to independence from bosses and office schedule, so follow me to read about that. :)

A for Adore:

  • Motorcycles. Yeah, I adore riding! Since the bike season is very short in Russia, we really go mad when Spring comes with its Sun and warm weather.
  • Travelling. I try to travel as much as I can. My favourite distanation is Thailand because of its people and nature. My favorite destination in Thailand is Chiang Mai. Because of its mountains and roads.
  • Russia. Um, yes, I love my country. Because it's my motherland. I love the simplicity of Russian people, I love beauty and varieity of nature, I love Orthodox Christian culture. And Russia has freedom. You can do any goddamn thing you want here and nobody cares about that.
  • Cats. Is there anyone who doesn't love cats?!
  • Thinking. Well, thinking. See? I mean keeping your mind fit. Lazy body is a horrible stuff, but lazy mind is much more horrible.

H for Hate:

  • Arrogance. I hate people who do not respect others because of their skin color, education level or amount of income.
  • Eggplant. Just cannot eat it. It's as horrible as my life, he-he.

Why follow me?

If you'd like to read about:

  • Real life stories from a real hursh Russian man. Why not? Ha-ha. How we live in Russia, what we believe in, what hardships we had to come through, how we are going to conquer the world and make everyone communist (actually not :)))… It will be interesting!
  • Lifehacks on self-development. How to gain personal freedom, how to fight your fears, how to live in peace with yourself and how to overcome your personal disorders if you have any like me.
  • High-tech subjects. Mobile apps, smartphones etc.
  • Cryptocurrency stuff. Lifehacks on how to loose all your money in crypto and become a homeless beggar. Just kidding. :)
That's it. Thank you for reading my intro. And please, follow me. From Russia with love and respect to Steemit community.

Thank you for warm welcome, Nathan! I've followed you. Your brief crypto overviews are nice.

Hey there, I'm Oatmeal Joey, and I do hope for the best for Russia as it flees the systems the USSR had to some extent in order to embrace capitalism. I like it when government gets smaller. I like it when we can have cryptocurrencies and freedoms, etc....

Hello, Joey! Yeah, Russia is trying to be a capitalistic country, but most of people's minds are different. I personally think that Soviet regime was better for Russians than what we're having today, because government took good care of people. Everyone was protected and had almost everything for a happy life. Yeah, there was no so much freedom as we have now. But there were no bad things too.

Do you like North Korea?

North Korea is an interesting place, it resembles me Soviet Union a little. I want to visit it some day to see everything with my own eyes. After all, they are our neighbours. :) We have one border.

You said the Soviet regime was better for Russia. So, is the soviet regime better for China, Vietnam, Cuba, Korea, Venezuela, Brazil, or maybe even South Africa? What happened to Rome and Persia and Assyria and Babylon and Egypt and why did they fall?

Hi Denis and welcome to Steemit! Hope you enjoy it here. Lovely scenery shot in the first picture you shared. I like traveling as well, but cats I do not like only because I am allergic. They make me sneeze without end, which is miserable. I would encourage you to get plugged into a community here and make friends with some like minded folks. It makes the experience more fun as well as having a circle of people who will help to promote your content. If you feel inclined, give my stuff a look sometime a well. I'm mainly spending time on DTube as well as blogging some novice photography. I'd also encourage you to check out DLive, DSound as well. These are all apps that function on top of the Steem Blockchain. Welcome aboard!

Welcome to Steemit and good luck! Follow me and I'll follow you back :) @phil917
