Hi there, Matthias from Germany here :-) Some of you may remember me (hauserfoto) from the good old times on Tsu.
Many of you tried to talk me into Steemit and Sharon (my most active Tsu child) finally succeeded.
Okay, first things first: I have ab-so-lu-te-ly no idea what I'm doing here and I have to admit I'm skeptical -- but I will give it a try :-)
I'm a photographer / digital artist (Fractals! Fascinating! Love them!) so what do you want me to post here? How about some Iceland photos? What the heck, I will just upload one... ;-)

Love the colors in that photo. Is that blue ice a natural feature or is the image color manipulated?
Hi, thank you! I captured this photo with a professional DSLR cam (Nikon D800), the colors come out very 'natural' on this type of cams, meaning they are rather dull at first sight. Each and every photo has to be 'developed'. The ice is really blue but I slightly enhanced the saturation of the overall image.
Hmmm… I haven’t used a Nikon in thirty years; I’ve never used a digital Nikon. My Olympus shots come with brilliant color. For example, in my photo essay “Cloud Forms,” the only post-edits I made were cropping changes or to B&W or sepia.
Hi, there are various camera settings I can use (neutral, standard, vivid etc.). I always use neutral and then develop the raw image with Lightroom.
We all have our own dedicated process. I’m really trying to get my art effects in the original shot. Sometimes, it’s incredibly difficult. And, when I achieve my goal, more often than not, I have equal difficulty recreating the effect. For example, I struggled to get the shot entitled, “Sunlit Silhouette” – and I’ve been unable to recreate the effect since.

if you want to find back the tsu family you just have to scroll our followers and then you can go from one to another, you will soon get them all...LoL and the tag tsufamily is very handful too

Hi there my friend, very happy to see you! :-) I will give Steemit a try for some weeks but to be honest I don't know how many time I will have for this.
I've made thousands of dollars here, but you are right. To make it work you have to spend time here! I love seeing how people around the world are benefiting from the money they are making and the difference this site is making in people's lives.
I checked out some profiles and noticed some crazy dollar amounts but I assume this does not equal the real payout? How much 'real money' in your PayPal account etc. did you make so far -- if I may ask, you don't need to answer this ;-)
I have never cashed any of my SBD out. Instead I have bought Steem and then powered it up. I want to be in a good position when the price of Steem goes to the moon. Several friends cash out regularly. One friend in the Philippines bought his family a new refrigerator and another in the Venezuela used her earnings to buy a cell phone and more recently to take baking classes. She hopes one day to use her Steem dollars to open a bakery. I love seeing the difference Steem makes in people's lives.
I treat mine more like stock.
The crazy payouts are correct - you have to work it to get them.

Hi Uwe, na dann mal ganz herzlichen Dank für die Starthilfe! Seit dem jähen Ende von Tsu bin ich etwas skeptisch mit neuen Sites aber ich wollte es einfach mal probieren. Danke für die Tipps, ich gebe mein Bestes! :-)
Gerne gerne - der Unterschied zu tsu - die platform steemit kann theoretisch untergehen, die Currency Steem wird aber bleiben erst mal

herzlich Willkommen auf Steemit. Du wirst hier eine Menge Spaß haben, gerade als Fotograf. Der Frust, dass nicht alle oder auch nur die Hälfte deiner Beiträge gut laufen, wird auch kommen. Aber wenn man Steemit als Spielfläche für etwas total Neues auffasst und sich selbst dadurch auch ausprobiert, kann es zu einem langfristigen und interessanten Aufenthalt führen.
Ich spreche explizit NICHT aus Erfahrung, bin erst seit Januar dabei, aber das ist mein langfristiger Plan. Keine Erwartungen in den Himmel haben, langfristig denken und kontinuierlich veröffentlichen.
Für dich als Fotografen wird die App Steepshot interessant sein, so ähnlich wie Instagram, nur für Steem.

Schau mal vorbei. Ich probiere mich auch grad mit dem Fotografieren. Habe zwar bishe rnur ein Smartphone, aber alleine der Umstand, dass man nun ein Auge für bestimmte Sachen bekommt, ist toll.
