Self Introduction

Hi Steemians , I'm a newbie here on steemit. I'm Mary Grace Manego, 23 years old from the city where you can find the original, the tastiest and the most famous rice cake in the province, Mandaue City.:) I gained my Bachelor’s degree in Education major in Mathematics at Asian College in Technology International Educational Foundation.

After my graduation, I decided to look for a job and I entered the BPO industry and work as a Customer Service Representative for almost nine months. Afterward, I took the licensure examination and luckily I passed the exam.
Currently, I'm an elementary teacher in one of the private schools here in Lapu-Lapu City teaching kids ages 9 to 12 years old the Math and Science subjects. Above all my greatest achievement is being a mom. Yeah, You read it right. I'm proudly saying that I'm a single mom. I have a cute, adorable turning 5-year-old baby girl and she is already in her kindergarten stage.

I know that being a mom at a very young age is not that easy, especially when you are alone raising your child. You need to do two roles at the same time (being a mother and a father). You need to balance everything in life. You need to work in order to support your child’s need while developing our future careers. Nevertheless, I learned a lot of things from being a single mom. I learned to be selfless. I learned to be responsible. I learned to be strong. I learned to respect myself more than anything. I might not be a superwoman and I know I am not, but I know to myself that I am willing to give up everything to make my child happy. She provides unconditional love for me. She is my everything. She is my strength. And seeing my child grow up every day with a smile on her face, it made me realize that I’m so blessed that I am given the chance to have a baby on my own. It’s an extraordinary mission for me. A lifetime reward that cannot be replaced by anything in this world.
