Great read Zach! you are so inspiring. I don't have a garden anymore and I live in an apartment, so this year, on my kitchen windowsill I sprouted a celery heart and got an avocado pip to grow, but failed with my basil seeds - they are still sleeping! But you have me stoked to try searching for a nearby plot that is just being ignored and unused by its' owner and to really get into growing food properly!
