In the end it boils down to a popularity contest. I don't see the most creative work rewarded yet here on this platform, the endgame here is financially motivated and that shapes the content here. Game theory is at play on Steem, with bots polluting the rankings and simple cliche posts gaining attention. Hard to say if this is a good measure of true, original, good creativity and honest sharing. Many posts are written in bad english yet they get voted, as an example. But, I'm willing to give it a shot, participate, and post to see how it develops... As for Zuckerberg, he's an a-hole -- Facebook is his fortune and his game alone. He's focused on monetizing the social network aspect to the max, and adding layers of tech sharing complexity. He may just be too smart for his own good ;) Time will continue to tell.
