Welcome to Steemit. It's good to see you have a positive experience so far. With respect to your recipe posts, I think overall your blogs will do better if they were only written for steemit.com than an additional copy made here with a link back to the original. Also, recently the trend for recipe posts has changed to included detailed steps and images which makes for a better viewer/reader experience and those seem to be doing well. You could give this strategy a shot in the weeks to come and spread your original content creation with consistent posts every 2-3 days at the very least. :)

Thank you very much for the advice. Yes, I have been thinking about making step by step picture posts. It'll be on my to-do list once my job ends and I have more free time. To fill up this time (and to share what I've already created), I've been posting from my other blog.
It's a good idea to go for original posts. I'll just have to find a different place to upload my pictures, as I'm using the ones from my foodblog now.
You can carry on with what you are doing. When you make any posts you can freely use Imgur.com or Steemian @blueorgy's Steemimg.com to upload your pictures. They are the best and works perfectly well with Steemit.com. Just go scroll down on the trending list or check the Daily Curie posts to get a feel of what type of posts are doing well from new authors. :)
Ooh thanks for the examples, that's definitely helpful!
You're welcome. :)
