Hello Steemit and hello world.
It will be shorter to list what I am not interested about, than to list my interests.
I am only starting to study the cryptocurrency world, and wish I could have a safe and private wallet to store various cryptos like Bitcoin, ZCash, and others.
I tried to install a wallet software on my PC, but failed badly.
No tokens were lost, but it pains me to see it all go down and remain on the outside looking in.
I would love if someone helped me install a wallet, so I will be able to get starting.
I am also interested in knowing what exchanges you guys recommend, and even more so, which you recommend not?
Bitshares, blocktrades, bittrex, changelly, etc.
And which of these exchanges deal with citizens of countries that do not reside in America?

Welcome to Steem @fersher I have upvoted and sent you a tip
Thank you and your creator, but I hope that after this initial flood of bots, a human will help me.
Hey @fersher patience is really important! at the moment in crypto Ethereum and Neo have taken the role as base for the new ICO's (Neo gonna start getting some really soon) I've manly used Bittrex and haven't had problems with it, still good to have a few different once since the amount and nr of coins is different. In crypto knowledge is important so don't just trust people, it's a lot of shiet coins out here... read and try to understand, it's a lot of nice nerds willing to answer if you can read thru the BS :) FUD FUD lol the FUD hehe don't care about the FUD on coins that have proven are legit :)
I post about coins from time to time, I'm new here to so we'll what I do end up posting about. Hope you enjoy the crypto, it's the future so be positive.
peace <3
Good to have another human on board.
Did you manage to install and use an offline/paper/cold wallet?
Can you explain the differences between these concepts?
if you like all my posts i will gladly answer some :)
i mean just my comments too you, our conversations :)
there you go.
Do your due diligence, welcome man. Look into getting a hardware wallet for real. Trezor is probably what you're looking for I know it supports Zcash.
First human! Welcome!
Hardware wallets are probably best.
Should a beginner like me, with chump change to spare, pay for a hardware wallet like you advised, or would a paper wallet/private key/offline wallet suffice for the time being?
I prolly dunno exactly what each one of these types of wallets is.
i recommend trezor too.. have keepkey too but trezor allow ER-20 token which is awesome
What about electrum?
why should i answer you a question again when u can't even hit my like button? like really, takes a millisecond a provides me food for information lol ^^
There you go. Now I did. I noticed that I did give you 1 upvote before you asked for it.
If your answers were helpful you would not have had to ask for it.
hahah word bro/sis sry about the attitude but peeps seems so afraid to like, like why? that's what the system is based for :D
so about electrum i personally haven't used it but seems to have good reputation and have been in the game atleast 7 years. easy to use some say but that depends on your computer knowledge, everything might seem hard at first but that's usually because it's numbers an stuff with loads of 0,000136531 signs but don't mind that. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1480993.0 a person asking about it in bitcointalk(a forum about anything about crypto) still me personally haven't tried that one and would once again recommend getting a trezor or another hardware wallet. anything i missed just ohola, peace
btw just found out about this
seems interesting but you know, it's your crypto
:) Fersher I think its worth it! You might want to try using Exodus (desktop pc) or mycelium (smartphone) before paper wallets or hardware wallets. I dont know about electrum. You might like the Shapeshift feature. An exchange built into the multi wallet (fees suck, but I find it extremely convenient on desktop).
An exchange built into which multi wallet? And which exchange has no fees? Or did you mean they are higher there?
The exodus wallet has "shapeshift" exchange built into it. The fees are indeed higher than normal though. I don't know any exchanges without fees so far. Hope this helps!
Welcome!
Welcome to Steemit! I wish you all the best for you! You can write me if you need it for any questions you have! I send you a big hug from Argentina! 😄🇦🇷👍🏻
Welcome to my thread! I already wrote to you all in my post above.
Keep them coming! I saw that you joined recently so I am offering you my welcome. Have one upvote on the house and see you in your next post!
I know how hard it is as a fresh account so I suggest you to try out Steemfollower as you can earn 5x more steem than just upvoting by yourself! It's a simple and safe vote exchange that is free to use. I have more info on it in this post where I go over the system in more depth and, believe it or not, this has become my most upvoted post yet.
I'm also relatively new to the crypto world and just created this steemit account. The first exchange I started using was coinbase, just because it was the easiest for me. More recently I've started to use Kraken. There are more options with kraken, but the coinbase app is far simpler and like fersher less glitchy.
What about wallets?
I use Blockchain for bitcoin and the etereum free wallet and loaf wallet for litecoin. The reason for my choices is because I do my trading primarily from my phone and these apps are the best I've found. I tried Jaxx Blockchain Wallet and have heard good things about it but it just didn't work for me.
Would it not be better to have one wallet for them all instead of a wallet and an installed application per each currency?
You know there are plenty of them, and in the future you will want to have more.
Welcome here @Fersher ! Nice post, i will follow your account, please follow me.
I am not seeking followers, I seek answers.
Welcome to Steemit! I wish you a good days and inspiration to create in our community! Please follow me :)
