About the Fashion Lyfe 🖤

Happy 2018! As a newbie to the Steemit community, I'm eager to introduce myself. Voted "Most Unique" in high school, others would say that I lead a rather unusual life. I think this correlates with being born on the cusp of Capricorn and Aquarius, 2 completely opposing signs. Mix this with an INTJ personality type and you get 10 times the fun (sarcasm). After living most of my life feeling misunderstood, I have finally started embracing my differences. This brings me to the social media world to finally share it all. I'm an ancient soul, in a modern body, with a futuristic state of mind.

I was born in Flint, Michigan, where I have resided most of my life. Working and going to school in a marginalized city has its struggles, especially with a highly complex personality that doesn’t fit into a box. I was taught that working extremely hard, going to college, and working a 9-5 job are the only ways to live a respectable life. So here I am -- about to earn my Master of Occupational Therapy, in debt, and nervous to join white collar America.

This brings me back to 2017. Working tirelessly in grad school and balancing my $12 an hour job at a hospital, I kinda stopped and thought to myself, ‘What am I really doing with my life? What do I have to show for all of this hard work? I have so much more to offer this world than this.’ I knew something had to change. It took years to realize that my passion for healthcare wasn't enough to keep my soul alive.

So that brings me here to share my thoughts and experiences. Honestly, I'm not a person of many words but when I do speak, I make it meaningful. With that being said, you can count on my posts being concise and to the point, that's just the INTJ in me. There are several topics I plan to blog about including:
