MY FIRST STEEMIT POST !

Hello Strangers!

"Don't talk to strangers," My Mama said.

But how was I to make friends if I didn't talk to strangers? They called it stubbornness, I call it thinking for myself. Like seriously? It is not as if there are prepackaged non-stranger friends perhaps somewhere in the mall. Funny, but that is the case. Hello Strangers.

Not only must I talk to strangers, I must also introduce myself to them. But I'm not worried because over time, I have come to realise that Strangers Become Friends and on Steemit, unlike in life, the reputations of strangers are written right beside their names. Plus, I hear that anonymity here does not equate secrecy. Sweet!

I grew up in a large family in a small settlement in the Northern part of Nigeria. The people from the inner city viewed us as Uncivilised. Against all odds we made it out of there.

I came from a large family of 7, a sister to 5 amazing sisters and a very handsome little brother. My parents taught us morals and survival , and those have been my key guide in everything that I do.

I am a graduate of Statistics in one of the most popular universities in Nigeria, and I came out okay.

@faithfulfaith, is a smart, beautiful and outspoken person, and I am so glad that I was disobedient to my parents in regards to talking to strangers because without that tiny disobedience, I wouldn't have met my wonderful friend that talked me into this, and all the people that I intend to meet on Steemit.
