I am like you, who is on steemit for the financial gain but sincerely speaking I may be different in so many ways. I am such a guy that hate the habit of something for nothing, maybe that is why I hate gambling. I also have learnt in so many ways that it takes considerable effort to gain from a worthwhile activities. So I am ready to give it what it takes.

I have share the story of how I discovered steemit in lots of my post and comments. How I hate hearing about cryptocurrency just because those who canvass to me only focus on the speculative aspect and could not convince me about something else. I have wider experience about speculating; FOREX, Gold etc, I have win, loose and loose big. So I have learnt that there is a lot of different between investment and speculation.

In exactly, a month ago, I join steemit after a conversation with a friend about web 3.0. Been aware of a genuine place where I can earn money with my creativity as a writer is so amazing. I am not saying this is the only place or the first place I have ever discovered but I am so convinced that I spent the major part of my day for a whole month on this community trying to learn how it really work

I am so curious that my introduce yourself post is so shabby. Not too bad, but I don't need anyone to tell me I can do better than that. The truth is that I don't know it is as important as that.

Initially, I think is as simple as I read in the portal that; write quality contents, people like it (upvote) and you earn but I come to realized is not a simple as that;

Not everyone that upvote your article will earn money for you, It is about your steem power, the higher it is the higher the value of your vote. Meanwhile, those who have it determine how many percentage of it they are willing to give you, compare to that of newbies that is automatically 100%

Those who have the valuable upvote hardly give it out, they rather delegate or sell it for returns except few who are ready to help the new comers.

I was so curious to no how those post with higher earnings achieve it. I realized it is few of them that can achieve such naturally, the rest buy upvote. The question now is, is it normal? Yes it is, I have to read and re-read the FAQ to find out. Unfortunately, 95% of new users are impatient to read the Welcome message and FAQ thoroughly. The truth is that, it cost us a lot.

Steemit as Investment

Steemit is not a platform for just quality content creators, even someone who is looking for a good investment can gain a lot here. While you can make money speculating, you can even make a guaranteed monthly income delegating your steem power and selling upvote. You can even invest in votebot (don't know much about this yet), I am still learning

Contest

If you want to become top blogger on steemit, you need to have the spirit of giving back. Be ready to organize a contest for the new users or the general community. This way, you will be popular and have lots of followers and that pay in the long run.

There are many opportunity within and outside the system. I have learnt and I am still learning.
