“To be successful in our economy you must own something of value”

Dylan.jpg
I am a guy from the Pacific Northwest with a goal of being successful. What is it to be successful? That’s a tough one. It can be something for one person, and completely different for another. I want to be a successful entrepreneur. Truthfully what it means to most people is having money. But just how much money? What someone can earn(their income) completely depends on their ownership of something. When I say “something”, I leave this up to your interpretation. I will tell you what I currently own, and what I want to own. As a 24 year old with extensive debt, crippling monthly bills, and habit for spending all my money, it is hard to own anything. Currently the only thing I own and consider valuable is a piece of paper sitting on my shelf. What I want to own is simple; diverse investments of significant value.

I went to college at Oregon State University and received my bachelors degree in Business Entrepreneurship. I developed a dream of creating and owning a business as I grew through my studies. After graduating I moved to a larger city and was forced to find a job to pay the bills. I worked for a small company as a "merchandise assistant", a very broad title. I was the data entry/erp system/excel/answer email b**ch. I had a passion for business and learned so much from this experience, but was determined to quit my job and be an entrepreneur. About 9 months into my job I decided I had a plan to follow my dream. I purchased a 2014 Toyota Corolla and put in my two weeks the next day.

I am currently a "millennial" independent contractor working full time as a ride share and delivery driver. I know that it is a very volatile and time consuming industry, but I work multiple platforms, and really enjoy it.

I have recently became fascinated with block chain, lightning network, and cryptocurrency technology. I am constantly learning and discovering. I hope to meet some fellow steemians, and share on dtube soon!!
