1st post on steemit! I've come here to raise awareness of the work being done in the Columbia River Gorge to protect the vulnerable in our community and to connect with like minded activists. I am a leader with Gorge ICE Resistance and a community organizer in rural Oregon. We are pressuring our local jail [NORCOR] to break its contract with Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement and divest from the inhumane, scandalous federal immigration practices which are recklessly tearing families apart and negatively impacting many industries nationwide.
