Hey @digitalplayer, nice to meet you too. I had answered your kind comment on my ipad, it showed as "posted" and ??? swishhhh I could no longer find it as soon as i refreshed the page (this time on my computer).
Let's see if this one holds ;-)

ouch. I was looking for some answer there!!

but didn't see the comment... you mention. it happens sometimes to me as well to lose text and comment I submit... and it can be very frustrating...

I recommend attention since there are several problems on PC version as well...

Glad to see, the comment held this time. Should we, steemians, worry about this "disappearing act"? On another note...
Average User Frustrations:

  • formatting challenges
  • markdown versus HTML
  • Best practices to post an image - successfully -
  • etc. etc.

So far, it takes me a full day of "messing around" with multiple applications to try and achieve a post that will look "ok" and its links to all included media work for me...
I must be missing out on easier ways, for sure... Argh ;) I know, I trust, that in time, all will be easier for us all "average computer users".
PS: On your blog now ;-)
Hugs from @patriciakm

Unfortunately I cannot talk to you about easier ways. I deal with same struggles!! Post Formatting is hard activity on Steemit.Com

Lucky me I know HTML tags... I am a web developer!!

Considering my knowledge you could think I do easily but not!! quite the opposite... there are many problems with the current user interface.

DISAPPEARING PHENOMENON

ever copy on clipboard the post/comment's text before submit.

One day happened to me to lose a long comment... with unique text on it... forever gone.

Thank you for re-assuring me on this issue, dear @digitalplayer.

I gave up on the "online" markdown pages, I also lost so many of my early posts... I ended up giving up on those posts ideas altogether and never rewriting them. The passion had died in the difficult formatting exercise, which I eventually lost anyway. I could not reproduce what I had done.

Of late I have been trying "offline" markdown applications, they all have advantages... when tweaked and worked together ;-) But what a messy job to go through!

@arcange, my angel steemian (love your name)
Your long valued experience is needed, please.
Can you point us to the latest developments on this Text Editor User Issue?
Respect ;-) and a hug
