I'm a student of university of science and technology, port Harcourt Nigeria, I heard about steemit when I came to university of port Harcourt for a conference and I decided to register since I have nothing to lose.

I am 19years old, the second born of my parents, my mum is actually a single mum. My dad is late he left when I was quite young, so we try to make earns meet .I am studying mass communication in my 200l Now.

Professional I practice modeling, don't know if my calling is there but I know it will help me earn some money so I decided to do it.

The lecture given about steemit is that you blog and you earn from it, if that is possible I'll be really happy, maybe I'll stop the modeling and concentrate on my study.

I'm glad to be a part of this community and I hope to serve you all well

Hello, Pamela, and Welcome to Steemit.

If you are into "mass communication," you've come to the right place! With Steemit, you yourself are able to communicate to all the Steemians. Apparently there are now over 500,000 Steemians, and it's most likely that the number will surpass 1 million soon. I expect it to happen sometime in the first half of this year. (We'll see ...)

Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.

  1. Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
  2. Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
  3. Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
  4. Be yourself.
  5. Be interesting and informative.
  6. Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
  7. Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.

Hope this helps for now. Good luck, and Full Steem Ahead!

Thanks a lot for the clues, I really appreciate it ,I'll try to implement them.
Thanks one more time

My pleasure. Getting started is sometimes tough, so I try to encourage those who have potential.

Welcome to Steemit!
