Beginning my journey into freelance photography, videography, writing, and activism with Steemit...

My name is Matt Tennyson. As a 25-year-old man with a diversity of interests, I have gained an appreciation and understanding for various fields including gardening, activism, electronic media/journalism, filmmaking, music, and audio/visual production. I am based out of Baltimore, Maryland and I have lived here my whole life. My account name, Counterbalance, is the name that I aspire to use for my brand in production, media, and business. I also teach Multimedia Journalism and advise part time at a local community college based in Harford County, Maryland.

I am hoping to develop a relationship with others in order to help support content creators, journalists, videographers, photographers, musicians, and all around artists who seek to make the world a better place to live. I have a variety of videos, short films, and other content that I am working on putting online into a reel/portfolio that will ultimately become my own website one day soon.

Aside from my career oriented interests, I also have developed a passion for backpacking, survival skills, and spending time with my girl friend, Kara, and my dog, Tank.
