"The Passionate Newcomer: A Journey into the World of Blogging!"

Hi everyone! This is Princess Marjet, you can simply call me @cheeryprincess and I'm from Tabogon, Cebu. I'm 15 years old and also a hardworking Grade 10 student at St. Louis de Marillac College of Bogo. This is my introblog and my first time joining the world of blogging! I'm so excited to share the adventures of my life through writing! I find this as a perfect opportunity to show the world my writing skills because I love to read and write my own stories for fun! My hobbies are cooking, reading, crafting, and playing online games with my friends. I love cats because they are very cute and cuddly. I took care of my cat and treated him as a friend, most of the time I put blanket as he sleeps.

A Short Memoir of Mine

When I was a kid, I always loved playing with my sister, friends, and family relatives. Sharing my horrible and traumatic experienced when I was 8 years old at that time, and I made the biggest mistake of my life that led to our hardships.

At that time I go out and play with my friends but usually I stayed inside and watched cartoons alone. What I didn't know was that my sister went outside on her own to play with her friends, so my mother ordered me to bring her back because it was already lunchtime.

So I went outside to look for my sister, and that's when I found out that she was climbing a tree, a tall one. I was scared that she might fall so I immediately told her to get down, but she didn't listen so I followed her up and also climbed the tree when I was almost at the top she was about to get back down. Now I didn't know what I would do, I didn't know how to get back down I looked around to see if there were any branches that I could hang into so that my body would be balanced and I could get down safely.

I saw a small branch and used it to get down slowly, but then I heard a cracking sound coming from above, and that's when I realized that the branch that I grabbed was about to break. So I immediately looked for another tree branch to switch into, but there was nothing, the branch broke and I fell and hit the ground hard. I tried to keep my composure but my head was aching and my vision was getting blurry, suddenly someone yelled and called my parents, shouting that my arm was broken, I turned to look at my elbow and I couldn't stretch my arms and fingers anymore.

My bones were broken, I found out that my bones were fractured, my parents immediately brought me to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) to get surgery, due to insufficient money my parents brought me to the public hospital where a lot of poor patients admitted also and I stayed one month in the hospital because the doctor was very busy and they prioritize the most critical patients in the hospital.

A Short Description of Myself

I'm friendly, simple, and easygoing, an extrovert when I'm with my friends, and an introvert when I'm alone. Sometimes when I'm bored I use my time reading or playing online games together with my friends but I also know how to balance my time with my schoolwork and hobbies or my wants.

The one on the left is my bff her name is Marian Arches and on the right is my beautiful cousin whose also a blogger named @lovelyclaire

I am the eldest daughter of my family, and being the eldest is hard because you have many responsibilities to take care of, but at the same time, it also makes you an important part of it because when you have a younger sister like me, you have a job to do, and taking care of my younger sister is an important task for me to complete every single day.

My mother is a passionate teacher and my father is a hardworking driver, my younger sister is a Grade 7 student of the same school as mine. I am from an ordinary family, my parents are hardworking and they want to provide all our needs but due to the high cost of goods we encountered scarcity of money. We don't have enough budget in going to the mall and spending money with expensive pleasures. Everyday is a struggle, but what I am thankful enough that my family is happy despite of the hardship in life together we can survive and can surpass all the difficulties we have right now in the near future.

We are contented with what we have, as long as we're perfectly healthy. My daily activities in school are tough, because I have to travel 16 kilometers each day but I won't let all that effort from my parents go to waste, I know how to control myself from temptations and how to balance my school works and I always get a passing score in every subject. Of all the subjects I am interested more in Science and Math.

A Grown Up Young Woman

Just an ordinary student studying hard to help my family in the future, by making their lives easier and joyful! For me being a student is hard but I can endure it all for my family, they have bigger plans ahead for me, and if I can accomplish and finish school I can finally get a good job and support my family, my dream is to become a doctor since I was young, but because of financial problems my parents told to look for an affordable course so I'll end up as a teacher instead, but I am planning to apply for a scholarship. I am looking forward for my dreams and hopefully it will come true.

My Hobbies

I have a lot of hobbies and interests, one of them is reading. I enjoyed reading science and discovery books or an online websites that offer free reading it is my means of relaxation, when I'm bored or feeling down I would read my favorite books online where it's free.

Reading helped me develop my grammar and English even more, though it's not perfect it was far better when I was younger. Next is cooking, this is my only way to show my talent to my family. I love to cook basic dishes for my family and I'm satisfied that they also appreciate the effort that I made for them. My mother taught me how to cook when I was young, she said that I should learn how to cook for me and my younger sister so that I can alone when there gone. And my next hobby is crafting papers! I love making paper stars, paper roses, and many more!

When I was in elementary I would always give paper roses to all the teachers in every Valentine's Day or Teachers Day. I would give them my letter, paper roses or candies and other things that'll make their day even better. My last hobby is playing online games, I know it may sound useless but it relieves my boredom and depression. I always play with my friends and classmates, that way it will make it even more exciting.

Who brought me here?

Before I was introduced to Hive, I didn't have any interest in sharing my personal life with others. I'm not active on Facebook and I'm really shy whenever I share my experience with other people. But now that my amazing mother @simplybil encourages me to join Hive I can finally share and tell them about my daily activities, not only I can express my interest and adventures by making a blog but I can also enhance my confidence and communication with other people.

With the guidance of @naymhapz, @lovingmers, and @indayclara I don't have any difficulties to make my blog alone, it was all because of the orientation that happened last December 8, 2023 in Caduawan Elementary School, I learned how to make my blog and the goodness of hives, it was surprisingly easy to join which made me think of the possible opportunities for me to get successful in life.

But honestly, I want to thank my loving mother @simplybil for encouraging me to join this platform, at first I was really against this idea and ignored my mother's advice but when I finally saw my mother's accomplishments every time she made a blog and published, it awaken and hit me. I have seen the beauty of this platform through my mother, it gives hope and inspiration to everybody.

I'm very excited to start my new journey as a blogger, to make and write my own story as a daughter and a student. Making new friends and meeting with other people throughout the entire world, sharing and showing others what I love is the most wonderful thing anyone could ask for. I'll gain the courage to achieve my dream of helping other people, especially my supportive family, and I'll do my best to try hard and to continue my passion in writing and posting blogs.
