Thanks! A friend of mine worked as a dutch midwife in Kilkenny. So I know the stories... It's sad. The world is becoming increasingly anxious about giving birth. Women lose confidence in their own body. I also notice this in the Netherlands. The demand for pain relief, for example, is increasing very much in recent years. The more anxious you are during your delivery, the less painkillers your body produces. That is why good guidance is important. Someone who stays with you, coaches and tells you how to relax. The wee will get better and your body will produce more painkillers. That is where the power of birth is.
