Opportunity to speak! Opportunity to share!
Dear Steemians,
Speak! 2016 © Ron T Simon
I have joined Steemit with the hope of successfully participating in a cutting-edge community for sharing images and ideas while learning to obsess about cryptocurrency in an equally satisfying way.
For Steemit is actually a brilliant concept, combining two 21st century digital obsessions, enabling them to interact in very creative and yet-to-be-seen ways. Steemit may be at the vanguard of the evolution of both cryptocurrency and social media. As a bonus, civility and respect, as qualities often absent in other platforms, are here restored on Steemit by giving content value, which in turn will inspire content that is more thoughtful.
As a content creator often wary of social media, Steemit becomes very tempting. An opportunity to speak whole-heartedly. All of us here are drawn to the possibilities of establishing a clear channel of communication specific to our individual passions. An opportunity to speak. An opportunity to share.

As a photographer first published in 1979, I have a created personal archive that I will offer glimpses into that may tickle our collective nostalgia together. Even if most scenes are unfamiliar, they often speak a common street aesthetic that many photographers and collectors share. My street photography phase occurred most intensely from 1984 to 1994

If you visit my website at fineprintphoto.com, you can see samples of mostly event photography that still uses street photography strategies, now second-nature when working wide angle. As a Leica M user until 2005, one learns respect for the viewfinder and the frame, developing a comfortable camera to eye motion to view that frame before the shutter is pressed.

So on this blog, regarding all things related to photography, subject matter will vary, with much of it older or obscure, but always original.
Content will include decisive moments, subjective series...

...and of course, puppets.

I do not write this title (photographer of puppets) lightly, for it does bear down on my resume and my authorship is continuing in this direction into 2019 with a new book (and offer to publish a calendar of the same name).

I am also a would-be novelist, a description-junky and word-wonderer, (or is that wanderer), as words cluster like fire ants swarming over ideas and then disperse just as quickly.
Ideas hibernating in hives, waiting to swarm in the ‘steem’.
It will be with this wordsome obsession I hope to offer well written commentary to all your endeavours.
