Hi! I'm Mike, 22, and I'm new here to steemit. I've joined like 2 days ago and I've been trying to wrap my mind around how new members should act in order to grow ever since.
I've been trying to make some posts about random facts ( you can check it out on my blog @bud96 ) but apparentely they get lost too fast in the new page as new posts appear every second. I've gained 40 followers by follow - follow campaigns but that seems to not help. My last 20 posts don't have more than 2 votes, 80% of them having 0. I want to post more meaningful content in the future but right now i think it's not worth the struggle since there will be no one to read it.
So what advice can you give me guys? Thanks! <3
These follow for follow dudes are not useful because they wont upvote your posts because they are following a few thousands. They dont recognize you.
Try to find people that are interested in your story not just at the follows.
I got some followers to which never write a comment or upvote, but there are a few which are very active and also very nice. Stay in contact with them and try to find some people upvoting and commenting. So you can grow!
I hope that helped ;D
Have a nice day!
It really does. I'm going to take that into account! Thanks!
Thanks you appreciate my advice.
Feel free to have a look onto my profile ^^
I agree!

STOP
If you're starting point is anything less than you're best expressions - those efforts are in vain.
Meaning: POST WHAT IS MEANINGFUL TO YOU
Don't let bullshit excuses keep you from doing the best you:
If you can't make sense of doing things for you first because no one is rewarding you....well....how genuine are you in your self expressions?
I post these reflections here as these are the kinds of things everyone must ponder at some point or another.
A solid following of 100 people that you build over time that moves together is better than a big list of followers with no real depth in the relationships.
I understand what you're saying and i find it really useful. You are right, i should stop making excuses and may the world appreciate me for what i am.
I won $3 million on the lottery this weekend so I decided to donate a quarter of it to charity. Now I have $2,999,999.75.
Hi, I am @cryptkeeper17 and I am hosting a seven day contest to sponsor for free at least one person into @steembasicincome, which costs $1.000sbd to join. I would like to extend you an invite, it does not cost you anything, and the entire payout is going to sponsor one (or more) new members in this club among the new steemit members that enter the contest. https://steemit.com/earthnation/@cryptkeeper17/contest-for-minnows-free-membership-to-steem-basic-income-possible-010-upvotes-1517857865
It can be very difficult for new members to begin to feel establish and garner a following. It feels difficult for me still and I've been here several months. It can get frustrating and discouraging, but you have to remember to post stuff for yourself. Then you won't worry as much if people read or comment on it. Also, just engage with other active users. I know when people comment on my posts, the first thing I do after responding is check out their blog.
I actually did just that after reading your comment on the other post! Heh, thanks for the advice man!
Don't worry about posting. Worry about finding people who post things you are interested in. Follow them and be yourself commenting on their posts. You will build a true following who reads and upvotes your posts.
Shall do! Thanks man!
