Please make an introduce yourself post! Maybe a pic of you holding up a sign that says steemit and then follow with some things you like such as alternate energy. Welcome and enjoy! I think you will find it nice here.
Maybe start with reading what you most like on Steemit and see if there is anything you can add through comments or an additional post....
