My Introduction Post At Last!

IMG_2737.JPG

Hi Steemit! My name is Brian Rhodes: Actor. Writer. Film Producer.

I heard about Steemit last July from @dan-atstarlite but I've just finally gotten around to doing my introduction post now lol! But I have been watching and really starting to see the potential in this platform and I'm hoping to use it to share my new projects.

Here's my imbd: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0722393/

I just uploaded my reel to Youtube so you can see clips of some of the movies I've been in like The Recruit, Down To Earth, etc... Maybe you'll recognized me;) but probably not lol.

My Plan

My plan is to start using Steemit to share some behind the scenes content about the film industry, as well as my thoughts during the writing process of a new screenplay.

I'm also interested in exploring the potential of blockchain based applications for film and I thought this would be a great place to start.

Looking forward to getting to know the Steemit community and bouncing around ideas!

@brian-rhodes The Tuxedo and Down to Earth were two big favorites of mine from back in the day... Real nice to have you here brother. upvoted and following.

Hi and thanks. Got a story or two on both those flicks. Just trying to get a handle on how to get moving forward here! Yikes! But I'll figure it out.

No worries @brian-rhodes looking forward to reading them. Let me know if you need any help learning the ropes you can shoot any questions you have here. I am always online and I am sure many others will be around as well. Take care.

Welcome, Brian. You might be one of the first actors with actual screen time on movies to join this platform but certainly not the last!

Since you are interested in the possible synergies between blockchain technology and film industry, you should give SingularDTV a look. They are building a blockchain entertainment studio, smart contract rights management platform and video on-demand portal.

Very cool! I took a look and bookmarked it. I will be revisiting. Thanks.

No problem. If you happen to take a deeper look in to it, I'd love to see your post about it here since I know the project only on the surface level.

I am sure I remember seeing you here also, and I think I may have welcomed you.... I seemed to remember your face and name today when I saw it come up in the feed. I could be mistaken.

Welcome (again) and happy trails to you!

  • Although Dan you mentioned lives around an hour or so from me, we have not met but he is a good egg.
Have a good week my man.

And thanks... again!

My pleasure my man.

Have a #CryptoTastic week!

(:

Welcome aboard the Steemit Train! You presence here will help us all. All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

... and help me too! Just getting the feel of the ropes. will start diving in soon! Thanks for the encouragement.

Welcome to Steemit, Brian. I am interested to hear your thoughts on how the movie industry can integrate with blockchain technologies!

Thanks! You and me both lol. But I intend to drill deeply to explore.

Sounds like your posts will be very interesting to read. Welcome.

I hope I'll have some interesting anecdotes and thoughts to share. Thanks for your comment.

Welcome Brian. It is wonderful to have some one of your artist visionary calibre here on Steemit. You will do very well here and I look forward to hearing and seeing more. :)

Thanks for the kind words. Not sure about visionary, but I love to verbalize my thoughts and throw them out there to see what happens!

I love all arts and creativity. I am up for all wild ideas and visual concepts too. Film in this modern day with all that we can now do is a great outlet for expression. We need more of the authentic producers and story tellers rather than the manufactured mainstream hollywood propaganda and template driven scripts that we see these days. Good luck with it and I will keep my eye out for your blogs.

We are certainly on the same page.

Welcome to Steemit! Looking forward to hearing your stories from the film industry :)

Thanks for the comment. Here's a teaser...Panama - dugout canoe - and 20' crocs!

Would that teaser be a new movie you're working on? :) Good to see you're in the steem community.

Hi. Not sure I've been a member long enough to say "Welcome" as I'm fairly new here. I 'd be interested in your thoughts on Creative Commons and the film industry?

OK. You got me. 'Creative Commons'!? The not for profit? To build on and share works?

Yep. But lets not get hung up on the "Not for Profit" that's just the organisation, you are perfectly entitled to charge for your work. It's a much kinder and enriching way to license your work. One that allows you, your audience and other creative people to use and share your work without fear of infringement.

I'm no expert just a believer in Creative Commons. In fact for a lot of things I would prefer Public Domain but I suspect that would be too radical for you. :-D

Thanks for the heads up.

Welcome to steemit @brian-rhodes it will be cool to hear your thoughts on the film industry.

Welcome to Steemit Brian.
Look forward to seeing your work.

greetings here form philippines mr @brian-rhodes

Welcome to Steemit. You look like the owner of Jurassic Park 😜

YEP! I get that all the time! Friends sometimes call me Hannibal lol

Welcome to Steem, Brian!

I'm also interested in exploring the potential of blockchain based applications for film.

^This!

I believe Veredictum is one service on blockchain that's quite related to creative contents like films but the possibilities are immense! A blockchain based platform like Steem takes crowd funding to the next level. A decent-budget series totally funded by the viewers/community is a possibility now.

It would be great to see how blockchain extends its application in the film industry.

Looking forward to your ideas and posts :D

Thank you and yes, we are certainly on the same page. Brian

That's a great idea! I would love to see some footage behind the scenes! I wish you success! And Have fun!

Wow, great work..
Welcome to steemit.

Oh my friend. I'm a fan of movies. So you won a follower. Always was my career frustrated. I look forward that you can showing us about your art.

Any questions you have I'm at your disposal. You can also ask your questions on steemitchat.com. Warm welcome @brian-rhodes.

tincho... have you ever acted? Are you a story teller? What is it about film that makes you a fan?

No, I have not acted, I take classes but nothing serious. What I do is write, short stories and above all humor. I do not know if I'm good or bad, but it's good for me.

I love cinema because of its ability to convey feelings. You can be infinitely happy watching a movie or you can cry like a child. Also the power it has in people when you identify with certain stories. I think a lot of people do therapy watching movies.

You are in the right head space for sure. Acting classes are good. Lord knows I've taken enough of them. But at the same time I suggest you maybe write two-three page original short screenplays - subjects you know about - then film them with your friends and post them on your you-tube channel... and keep doing it. Use your cell phone camera and edit the scenes together yourself. It may surprise you how quickly you mature as an actor. For what it's worth lol. Rhodesy

You do not know how I appreciate your advice, but life has taken me elsewhere. I love to watch movies and I'll keep doing it. What I like to do is share my stories here. But for the sake of time, I can only do that. I really appreciate your comment and hope you enjoy Steemit. There are excellent people here, I think you will have noticed. Big hug!

Welcome to Steemit Brian.

As you have probably seen, there are lots of creative people here, so you'll have plenty to bounce ideas off.
