Introducing Myself

Hello everyone,

My name is Bjorn and I am a digital entrepreneur out of Sydney, Australia.

My family and I originally hail from Zurich, Switzerland and so the culture shock moving to Australia in my early teens was something that I believe has given me a greater resilience. Adding to that it has given me a unique understanding of people who have been transplanted into differing cultures, and locales.

I think it was these initial experiences that set me on my path to studying the social fabrics of our existence. Our online lives have become so intertwined that the effects of one are almost indistinguishable from the other. This is why research into our digital lives is paramount to ensuring positive outcomes moving into the future.

I am an academic helping bridge the gap between researchers and using digital technologies to collect, collate and analyse our social data.

I heard about Steemit awhile ago but could never actually get myself out of gear to join. I am really intrigued by the transactional nature of reputation on this platform, so I hope to gather some knowledge regarding how this affects our interactions.
