New photographer on hive

Hi hivers, I just joined the community and wanted to take the time to present myself.
I was introduced by my sweetie @chaosgeek to Peakd, the hive blockchain and the world of cryptos in general.

I'm 43 year old french speaking male and live in the suburbs near Montreal in Canada. I was born here and always lived here and since my family had humble revenues, I never had the chance to travel and see what the world is all about until i had a good job at the age of 22.

I was very shy when I was young but had drama classes at school and was also following karate lessons (Goju Ryu) at the time. Both helped me a lot in facing that nature of mine. I am now a much more confident person because of that.

Studied a bit of everything after high school, went to college in computer science, aeronautics and some general classes too but never had the chance to finish anything. Motivation and money to pay the rent were an issue so I started working as a delivery guy for two restaurants and then found a job as a journeyman in a printing company.

At some point I had an opportunity to get hired at a chemical plant because I knew someone who was working there and I have been working there as a chemical operator since January 2000.

I love music and always listen to some, especially when I'm driving. I don't listen much to the radio because I hate the talking and the constant advertising so I'm mostly sticking to what I already know.
I love 80s, 90s, rock, metal, goth/industrial, punk, etc.

I love to try everything and since our life is short, I try to check about everything that there is to be done in life. I ride a motorcycle, went skydiving, bungee jumping, go karting. I traveled just to try the fastest roller coaster, which was the Kingda Ka back then.

There are so many things that I like/love doing that it will probably be hard to make that list.

In 2012, I decided to go back to school in photography while still working full time. It was a tough 14 months without much sleep but was glad that I was able to get through. Since then, I've been working part time as a professional photographer and I've been in charge of the local photography club.

I was mainly focusing on portrait photography and wedding but started to love landscape photography after a trip/workshop that i bought with One of a Kind Photography.
Since then i started to do a lot more of landscape shots and really enjoy everything that surround that type of photography: the travel itself, meeting new people and cultures, seeing the beauty of the nature, being in the moment and taking the time that it needs to capture the perfect shot.

On PeakD I will mostly be posting pictures or the work that I do and I look forward in meeting other people that share those same interests.

It goes without saying that when you love taking landscape photography, you also have to enjoy long walks and hiking. Most of the time, those breathtaking photos aren't found on the side of the road. I guess it's also part of the experience. This selfie with my darling was taken on top of Mt. Mansfield, Vermont... and this last one at sunrise in Prince Edward Island.

Thank you for the help. As mentioned I was missing some resource credits yesterday to make my first post but like you explain, I powerered up some hive and it worked. I also looked at the gift giver site yesterday and it wasn't working but tried it again today and it worked just fine. Thanks again. :)
