🇦🇺 Introducing ourself to the Australian Community

Hey there fellow Steemians,

how is it going?

we (Ben 35 years and my Partner Fidi 33 years) are Members of Steemit since about 4 month now. But since we Travel a lot and just arrived in Australia 2 weeks ago for the third time in our life, we thought it´s about time to introduce ourself to the Australian Community.

Many of our Blog Posts are Travel Posts about Australia or about House Sitting what we started here in 2015 and changed our life completely.

Our "Story" began in 2013 when we both were sick of our jobs and realized that we don´t want to spend the next 40 years in Office we don´t like, do a job we don´t like and meet so many people we don´t like either. Of course there were some nice colleagues as well!! 😉

We quit our jobs, our flat, packed our bags and booked a one way flight to Bali. We´ve been away for a total of 8 Month and have seen so much and made so many good experience. We travel through Indonesia, Singapur, Malaysia, Thailand and then decided to book a flight to Australia which actually wasn't on the list. It changed our life, because since that Australia feels like a second home for us.

Since that we´re always traveling and just go home every now and then to meet family and earn some money again.

You guys can be so lucky to live in that beautiful Country. We made so many friends here and made so much good and bad experience as well. But the bad experiences just made us stronger!!

The reason we want to be a part of your strong community is simple...we just love you Aussie Guys!!
You can expect some nice Posts and photos about your home country and further more we plan to write some Recipe Posts, since Fidi is a really good chef. Her Roots are Turkish, so be prepared for some delicious Turkish food like Kofte or Gozleme.

We're both easy going, funny people who are always up for an adventure. We hope you´ll like our Blog and you follow us for further stories.

Can we have a tour of your campervan at some stage please?

you mean more pictures of the van? unfortunately this was the Van from our first visit to Australia, now we´re traveling in an old Mitsubishi Magna Stationwagon. But I will try to find some more photos of the old van.

Welcome to Steemit, Ben and Fidi. Glad that finally, you decided to introduce yourselves. You both seem to be having a time of your life, adopting the lifestyle what you love. I will look forward to reading more from you both. Have fun. Steem On!

Hi @firepower and thank you very much. We introduced ourself at the beginning, but as we´re living some of our time in australia now we thought its time to introduce ourself to the Australian community.

I see. I think I missed that somehow. :)

no worries! ✌️

Hey Ben and Fidi, pleased to meet you!

thanks @gailbelga. steemit is amazing and it´s just the beginning...

Liebe Grüße aus good old Europe,
Cori & Flo

Lovely introduction, and very happy you're blogging about a part of the world i've yet to visit. Looking forward to seeing more.

thank you very much @sweetsssj really appreciate it. you definitely have to visit that beautiful country. would love to see a post from you about australia one day!! we just came back from our v trip to Noosa National Park today, will write a Post about it tomorrow.

Wonderful shot of the Glasshouse Mountains and an interesting story as well! I wish I had the courage to do something similar with my life. Until then I will just enjoy reading your posts :)

thank you so much @ladolcefirma. It´s quite a long story and we did not fell this decision over night. We couldn't go on with our old life....but I can tell you, everything is possible.

super, great food and the best decision offer from you both! Greetings :-)

danke euch @travelwithus. Grüße zurück nach Sri Lanka

Assuming no family ties; which of the places you've been, would you most recommend to settle down and raise a family in?

this would be either my home country Germany or Australia, but at the moment I would definitely prefer Australia.

That's easy then. I'm already here :)

We traveled a lot through Asian countries, where I'm not sure if I would like to raise children there, + the language barriers in other countries than Germany or any English speaking country. Europe is nice but I don't understand any word French or Spain or... 😁

good question by the way
