I've heard there have been different kinds of Indians in the Americas for centuries and also some black and white visitors from time to time dating before the 1500's. Would you consider an Indian tribe the same as a city?
The thing is that for purposes of the city it was founded three times because settlements were destroyed by Indian tribes over and over again. It was called Nueva Cadiz and also Nueva Toledo (I don't remember the specific order), but the thing is that it was for sure the first settlement in the American mainland.
