Happy Lunar Year, beautiful people of Hive.
What better way to start the year than by picking up the pieces and starting over. And, for us – start where we left off at a better avenue.
@beatenegg is Mr. and Mrs. V. We used to share our thoughts in Steemit but, as cliché as it may sound, life kept throwing rocks at us, and it left us juggling so much work leaving our blogging behind. But we’re back, and hopefully, we won’t stop.
Here’s reintroducing ourselves:
We are Jonah and John Ryan (Mr. and Mrs. V). We are proud parents of an 11-year-old boy and eight-year-old girl, four cats, too many pairs of lovebirds, some tarantulas, a couple of bearded dragons, and a dog. Despite that, you will be surprised how it isn’t so chaotic around our house, especially since the kids are doing home school because of the pandemic. We try as much to keep things down and organized. It’s a tough job, but it has to be done.
I (Mrs. V) have been working from home since 2017. That was also when we started in Steemit. Oh, how wonderful it is to be reminded of the good old days. Anyway, I work as a freelance writer. I ghostwrite for bloggers, and I also submit contributions to publications every once in a while. Before being where I am now, I was a corporate slave for 15 years. Do I miss going to the office? No. I miss the people but not the stress.
Mr. V works as a Technical Engineer at an American Firm somewhere in the Southern part of Luzon here in the Philippines. Since the pandemic started, he has been working at home too.
I can’t thank heavens enough for the providence during this episode of our lives. A lot of families have lost their jobs and properties. While we feel sorry for all of them, we pray they get back on their feet again.
And, did we catch the virus, you may ask? We did, too – in the early months of 2020. But we surpassed and beat it. Life is still good.
