Hey everyone!,
It’s you’re friendly neighborhood BC2 here for the first time! I’m SUPER new to steem. Just signed up today in fact. So welcome to the my first post!

How did I get to steem?
I found out about steem through a good friend of mine. He told me about Steemit early last year 2017. I sat on the whole idea of crypto currency for a long time, until another friend told me he made enough money to pay off his student loans just off the PROFITS from his crypto trades. Obviously intruging no? So here I am! (Not expecting to break the bank off Steemit, but the prospects still pique my intrest, so here I am to learn how it’s done!)

Why is today the day of my first post?
I just noticed the email saying that my Steemit account was active lol.

What’s the story behind this bc2art name?
I’ve been an artist since I can remember. I’m heavily influenced by myths, monster, distorting the human figure, beauty, spirituality, all that art school stuff! Most of the art I post will be exploring those concepts, so look forward to it! I didn’t take up the bc2art moniker until sometime after art school, when I had a job where someone else had my exact same name! To keep people from confusing us, and because I literally have “II” in my name, BC2 was born! The name grew on me, so much so that most of my tags online have been changed to it. It just kind of rolls off the tounge.

What is my value to the community?
Good question! I’m not too sure tbh. It’s my first time seriously blogging. I guess you can say I’m looking forward to posting videos of my artistic process!

What’s the deal with this cool angelic dude:
I figured I’d start my first post with a picture of one one my sculptures. It’s a figure of my character the Archangel Mikael from my thesis in school. Wings and feathers are unryu rice paper, body and stand is made out of various clays. Just a little taste of more to come!
