The Last Time I was On Steemit Was My First Time

Hi, everyone, am Aniekan. The last time I was on steemit was my first time. I should be as happy as those men who discovered diamond in central Africa early. (learnt those central Africans where so clueless about diamond, the precious stone was everywhere and kids sometimes played with it. How true is that story?)

But, simply because i can't stop imagining how much steem power i have lost all this while i was unaware steemit existed, am in pains - great pains.
However, am thankful I didn't get to know about steemit later - say one more year from now. My loss would have been too much for me to bear.

My friend @misterakpan brought steemit to my attention. But when he first mentioned it, i wasn't interested in his story about steemit and its promise of giving redeemable value for every post I make. It sounded too good to be true. And secondly, my friend @misterakpan had a bad reputation in introducing people to online businesses that never worked.
September 2016 he introduced me to MMM United... I invested in than bloody ponzi scheme and lost. Later he lured me into Get help worldwide, same happened. He introduced me and a few friends into other things I can't remember. All those businesses sank. So when he came back with steemit, it was hard to even let him talk more about it. I was like No no brother, not again!

It was after his first payout that I tot. "Meeeehn, this shit could be real. I've got to go peep into what's really going down there at steemit
When I arrived, l was mesmerized by it. There was once I was personally thinking of coming up with a social media platform where all users can gain from, instead of a platform where very few people take every income the platform generates. Mine was going to be bases on ads. I never know Ned Scott had a better idea.
Poor me!

Here you work for your money, no crazy promises.
Steemit is a game changing social media platform that's coming to stay.
Happy am one of its early adaptors.

Next week, like that rugged prodigal son in the bible, am going ask my dad to give me a share of my inheritance. Don't be afraid, I won't be as stupid as Mr Prodigal son. No harlot, and not even a bottle of beer will smell that money. Am planning to turn those pieces of land into steem. A lot of steem. After that, am getting myself a steem voter and some good authors to invest my steem in. I wont end there. No, i wont!
I will author alot of good content too. I will be working from one end, my steem will be doing the same from the other end till we meet in the middle.

I believe there are better ways to make the most out of steemit which I maybe too young on steemit to know. Kindly suggest them to me, if you know any. I've got to start recovering the losses I incurred while I was oblivious of the existence of steemit.
I don't know much about steemit, i just know that I love what Ned and his team has done with it, and am ready to learn and grow with steemit.
