8 foods to fight cancer and gain health

According to the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), one in two men and one in three women will have cancer throughout their lives. Although this disease continues to be one of the major headaches for modern medicine, research on the relationship between what we eat and some types of cancer are giving great results. In addition to avoiding alcohol and tobacco or maintaining a weekly exercise routine, we can also benefit from some of the following foods in the fight to prevent it. Take the notebook and point.

They are able to slow tumor growth thanks to the ellagic acid they contain. Cranberries, in particular, have a high anti-inflammatory effect and are one of the fruits with the highest content of quercetin, one of the flavonoids most studied for their anti-cancer activity. On the other hand, in the case of cherries, they have glucaric acid, which detoxifies the body of chemicals produced by the environment.

Algae

They are rich in fucúnic acid and fucanos, a polysaccharide that causes apoptosis (induced suicide) in cancer cells. Likewise, its multiple phytochemical components such as alginic acid and its anti-cancer effect are being studied. Finally, algae have glucans that stimulate the immune system.

Turmeric

A millenia spice from Asia that, through curcumin, inhibits the growth of colon, stomach or liver tumors. In addition, it is effective in reducing the development of metastases caused by breast cancers. The ideal consumption is between a quarter and a half tablespoon a day, but we can also find turmeric in capsules in herbalists or specialty stores. It is recommended to use it with black pepper or dissolve it with flaxseed or olive oil of good quality so that it is better absorbed.

Dark chocolate

In case the cocoa content of chocolate is greater than 70 percent, it is considered dark chocolate. 40 grams of this food contain almost the same amount of polyphenols as a cup of green tea and twice as much as a glass of red wine. It also has oleic acid, a fatty acid present in olive oil. Cocoa proanthocyanidins slow the growth of the lung tumor.

Mushrooms

In Japan they have been used for more than thirty years in cases of colon or stomach cancer. Mushrooms are rich in beta glucans, which strengthen the immune system, and in selenium. In addition, they barely have calories (between 25 and 30 per 100 grams). The most famous varieties are shiitake and maitake, although there are also other types such as cremini, reishi and enokitake.

@angelopolis,

As @jamerussell mentioned... improper use of #tags on the Blockchain, will end up with very negative results. Conversely... this is a WONDERFUL post! But not providing sources and citations for photos and information, will also end up with negative results. I would invite you to click the link @jamerussell provided for the @steemterminal ... we are here to help Steemians learn the proper ways to interact, on both the blockchain and Discord. Please know that we are commenting out of love, and the desire to see everyone succedd on the blockchain. I will provide another link for you to click on... please come join us... you have great potential !!

@angelopolis please do not continue to use the #introduceyourself tag as is intended for one time use for introducing the new Steemians who have little to start with for maximum exposure, you are misusing this tag by repeatedly using it. If you would like to write an introduceyourself post to introduce yourself to the community, please do that and we may feature it.
Thank you for your consideration...
PS, there are several excellent communities here in Steem that may benefit from your posts such as #innerblocks, #homesteading, and if you would like to, come in to the Steem Terminal and we can help you get placed into communities(s) that you and them can benefit from.
