Introducing Myself: Aardvark Judas aka "Bryan"

Hi everybody,

I'm new, so thought I'd make an "introduceyourself" post as advised.

My parents may have been drunk when they named me, but my real name isn't "Aardvark Judas": it's the less interesting, albeit more socially acceptable, "Bryan".

I am into cryptocurrencies, although I don't have huge holdings on account of being skint. But it's cryptos that led me to STEEMIT. This platform seems like a great idea, especially given how YouTube and other formats have increasingly sold out and moved away from their founding idea of us plebs being given a democratic voice and platform. I was particularly aggravated by them binning off their "video response" feature, thereby removing at a stroke 95% of my potential viewers.

I'm an atheist and a humanist, although I don't identify with the latter term massively; I identify more with the teachings and label of Epicurus. There is no afterlife, there is no God or gods – leastways, none that we need to fear. Darwin and Dawkins all the way! Politically, I am a libertarian of a classical liberal and geolibertarian bent. Less Ayn Rand, more bleeding heart libertarian. I love animals and the natural world. When I’m not engaged in these high-minded (or pretentious) matters, I love watching films, drawing, going for long walks, learning foreign languages, reading about language, and writing screenplays, stories, and poems.
